I've been around these parts for almost eight years now...wow! Maybe I should be concerned about that...

Get hugeass and coldnsap! They're some of the best maps in the game. Hugeass is two hangers at opposite ends of a 4 km wide canyon, with a multiplex of flying and driving vehicles (all custom). Meant for dogfights in the air.

Coldnsap is on a cracked ice shelf, a bit bigger than hugeass. It's also mainly a flying map but has various anti-aircraft vehicles and weapons. Also complex hangers, indoor areas, and flag spawns (There's also a working mech :P)!

Yes I know, all the dudes on Halo E are either playing H2 Zanzibar hugeass or coldsnap. Let's get some quality maps on these servers. Trust me it will be well worth the download.

The only reason I haven't gotten Hugeass is because one, I already have a huge ass, and two, it's quite unbalanced and it's amateurishly done, in a sense.

How can people play a game on a map 4KM WIDE, with only 16 players? The games on those maps must be really boring....

although coldsnap is sometimes boring, hugeass is actuali prety fun since evryone seems to go down the midle, and it isnt unbalanced, both sides are exactly the same.

to realy good maps i know are Sige and Regret (you can get both on halomaps.org). Regret is on top of a covanent batle cruser and has flying wharthogs and scorpion (only one scorp)!

H2 Blood gulch is a really good map to play swords only with...Im actually a lot better with swords on a controller than a mouse, too o.O

Hahhahahhaa, Kim, you just made my day :D

Yes, Hugeass and Coldsnap are way too overrated. No one ever plays anything else, though.

And it's your connection that's slower than turtle sex.

In........................................................Out .

The only reason i aint throwing myself at CE is im worried my computer might not handle such a big download. Or is it not big?

Also, is there a way to check how much memory my comp has left?

Also, my comp is pretty new, but I'm rather paranoid when it comes to downloads, :I. So can some1 answer my questions?

It's only like 125MB (give or take).

Um, Start > Run > dxdiag.txt

Memory is just how fast your computer can run along with the Processor speed. Hard drive space is different and holds all your games, media, and such.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

See, this is the biggest reason I wanted our server to be CE! I would love 16 people playing CTF on no_remorse!

BLAH BLAH BLAH WHAT IS HALO HAHAHA SNORT
justt kidding....lol i had a good time..
anyways you are right, there is lots of maps that are good in CE, but the thing is, not many ppl know about those maps, you need to advertise other than this forum. other wise youll find yourself driving around that sniper canyon for the millionth time....

another great map is Insanity!

its a moded batle creak with new senery, and paked full of AIs. Here are the AIs that I can think of:

Humans; Marines, crewmen, and a Spartan with a flamer

Covenant: Grunts, Jakals, a Hunter, andseveral veriaties of elites.

Flood: Infectiouse, carier, and wariors (including one with a flamer!)

Foreruner: Sentinels, 343 Guilty Spark

These AIs arent just the stupid ones that walk around in one spot, they move aroud, say stuff, and enter turets.

Only problem is with all these maps, my CE takes WAY too long to boot up.

Get more RAM if it takes that long. It's always like that because CE loads all the maps into the game first before the Main Menu appears. This especially takes forever if you were like me before and had 200+ maps.

I dont know if its unsung, but a realy good map is Yoyorast Island. its fair, fun, and prety funy because the flags are right beside each other but you have to go all the way around the Island to get to one from the other. its also a prety mush natural race map. I highly sugjest you download it, because its realy fun and popular.

I noticed that in Halo CE, lots of people are just playing either Coldsnap or Halo 2 CE Wartorn or Hugeass. Thing is that those aren't the only maps out there! There are some really good quality CE maps out there that you are missing. This thread is dedicated to the "unsung" maps of Halo CE. Believe me these maps are worth the download. So free up some space and get ready to be awed.

Sniper Canyon Redux: A great map! Looks like it was part of the actual game! There are many winding passages and a beautifully designed exterior. It's a large map, and is great for CTF. It's easy to get lost, but hey! Getting lost is fun!

Download | S creenshot

Lost Cove: Another great map! It is well designed and detailed. A Forerunner Complex can be found. Red and Blue bases are built-into the cliff walls and there are lots of teleporters and tunnels to explore on this beautiful sunset map.

Portent: This map is set on an icy moon. There, a scientific expedition discovered a well-kept Forerunner structure. (blah blah blah ull find the whole thing on the site). The structure is extremely interesting and is worth just looking at. If you're looking for a good map with insides and outsides this is the one to get!

| Scree nshot (Sorry this one is kinda small because I couldnt copy the full-sized image on halomaps.org)

No Remorse: A beachfront structure with many passages. A great slayer map by the H2CE team. A must have for Halo 2 CE fans. If you missed this one, man then you haven't seen a good map.

Download | Scr eenshot

Gauntlet: A grally great canyon map. Excellent design, and lots of creativity thrown into this one. There are two new weapons, the XM8 Rifle and the XM8 Plasma Cannon. They're not overdone, and will be fun to play with.

That's all I have now, but I will keep looking and I will add to this list!

Well, I guess.
I do love those maps.
The reason their unsung is because they're pretty old now.
Lost Cove:Old. Very fun, but the new maps have outcooled it.
Gauntlet:Look above.

Sniper Canyon Redux is old and fun, but if you host a server on it, you'll get players.
