Subject: The Bungie Community and The Bungie Foundation

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

If there were a shirt with This type of image on it, I'd buy it in a freaking heart beat.

I wish Bungie would of made a Destiny shirt with all the stars on it.

How 'bout eggs?
I... I don't follow your logic (Jim Gaffigan reference I'm hoping)

I would definitely get a name change, especially for a good cause :)

Bye.

Maybe I'm being naive but would a proportion of bungie's new game sales go to the bungie foundation? I've a hunch the game will sell fairly well which will in turn rake in some moola for the foundation.

I have no idea. I was under the impression it was charity items in Bungie store.

Surely bungie will set aside some money from the company and put it into the foundation. They could expand from just items in the store; Web features, future DLC and addons, Bungie Pro and even stuff i can't currently think of.

Yep, charity DLC is a good idea.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I'll start compiling these ideas into the OP

  • 01.21.2012 12:50 PM PDT

Maybe they should take the top-selling items and put a percentage of that, or a higher percentage if they already put a percentage, toward The Bungie Foundation.

Possibly, they can also feature items in the homepage of the store that explicitly profit the foundation.

Also, they should make new advertisements (ones that replace the Noble Map Pack ones) and these ads would feature The Bungie Store and The Bungie Foundation.

This is a definite must.
The Bungie Foundation outlining Steps would make a good advert I think. As long as they get rid of the Noble Map-pack advert I'll be happy.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I would imagine come the newest hawtness at the earliest; there's really no point in changing stuff when a substantial revamp is more than likely in the works.

If I had to bet on the time frame, I'd put it between August this year to this time next year.

It is better to die for the emperor than live for yourself

Or we could go sell homemade lemonade?

I like it. If someone could "transparify" the background on that image, it'd look super sweet.

Original image if you need it.

View my Art

Per Audacia Ad Astra

I see a lot of users wanting more Destiny/Custom shirts in the Bungie store. Bungie should let the community submit a few shirt designs for the Bungie store. Of course you wouldn't get any royalties on it. But the profit received would go to the Bungie foundation.

back in halo 3 they told every one to change there emblems to a heart and they would give money to charity,or the avatar t-shirt thing thay did

they should do something of that kind but for the forum based community.

That's a good idea. A nice way to bring the community together under a common purpose, too!

I would change my name to "prometheus25."

Unless it's already taken. In that case, the charities get NOTHIN'.

Do we not live in a capitalist society? If you pay to change your name to an already taken name the other person is either forced to change their name or bid for the right to keep their current one. Whomever has the most stacks ready to throw down gets the name.

Is anyone on good terms with anybody Studio-side? I would love to know a general consensus on how Bungie Studios would feel about having the community get involved.
