Lol

After all this time it was right under our noses. The hidden ranking system is actually the rating obtain at the end of each match. It's the exact same system League of Legends. After playing a few hundred games on my new account, I began realizing that if my team wins but I play like garbage, I still play against lesser skilled players over time. But when my team won because I did extremely well, over time I play against harder and harder opponents. This means that the invisible ranking system, true-skill or whatever it is doesn't take into account winning or losing. It takes into account how well or poor you as an individual play.

After even further investigation, when I quit around 5 games straight and my team still wins in the majority, I still played against lower skilled players because my rating for all those games were only 1000.

All I have to do is just leave when the ranking system starts knowing where I belong.

Just eliminate the space between killer and rebirth

Haha, no.

Lol

When I start playing well for a certain amount of games, the opponents get more difficult. If I play like garbage or quit, the opponents get easier. Even if my team wins, because I most of the time play as random it seems to get me lesser skilled opponents. In any case, I finally obtain the answer I needed to avoid the problems this game persists at a competitive level.

No because I play noobs all day long and I average 1700 in my btb and multi team games all day long. False!!

I'm going to invade your heart like a barn swallow high on milk chocolate and grandma love.

Fairness is only possible within the limited powers of man. Elsewhere, there is only chance.

Thus I refute thee.

I always play well and I always play with semi-nub decent peeps.

Unless you're playing Arena, you're not going to consistently get matched against people that are similar to you in skill. This is because the other playlists use a wider scope in order to shorten search times. Think of it like the social playlists in H3.

Lol

If you play with other people than this is irrelevant. Because than the ranking system has to take into consideration more than just one skill average.

You have to go in alone for awhile to see what I'm saying.

Trueskill is non-existent outside Arena, every 300 matches you'll actually get two equally skilled teams going against each other.

I'm done talking about this you have no idea what you're talking about as usual with most of the halo community

I'm going to have to agree with this.

Lol

Everyone seems like a noob if your in a very good team. But not everyone has that luxury. If your in a team going into playlists that are mostly randoms, yes you will dominate. That is common sense. What I'm saying is, this is a way out for those who don't have that luxury and don't wish to play against those who are going to abuse every single problem in the game in order to win.

  • 01.21.2012 11:27 AM PDT

The problem is, you don't know what you are talking about. You are basing your evidence on your own coincidental experience, not fact.

  • 01.21.2012 11:29 AM PDT

Lol

It's impossible to obtain a true "fact" when they make the actual ranking system invisible. They don't want people to exploit it. It's like how Blizzard doesn't talk about their MMR system for Starcraft II in extremely great detail because then people who don't want to play against good players would exploit it. All people can do is make tests and draw educated conclusions based on constant results.

It's not impossible to obtain true fact when they TELL YOU what ranking system they use.

Your "investigation" is happenstance. It works the exact OPPOSITE way, as Jeremiah explained last year. TrueSkill is based purely on win/loss.

  • 01.21.2012 12:20 PM PDT

chances are I don't care who you are or what you say.

the system is still awful compared to H3 even if this is true

  • 01.21.2012 3:38 PM PDT

Please...stop getting butthurt when I noscope you from the passenger seat of the vehicle I'm riding in :D

I'm sorry, but no. The system is completely random. If there are people your skill, yes, then the system will match you with them. But in playlists like Team Objective (that I have 2500+ games in) and has a lower population, it will throw games together just for the sake of getting people in games. That's when you start getting games like this....

Hello I am a BK that gets ratings lower than 1000 on a regular basis... and it has no effect on the skill of the team I get next.
