The jet the MC escapes on is a Longsword Fighter, which is a type of space-bound light attack spacecraft. The Covenant have a similar type or spacecraft, but the name escapes me at the moment.

Longswords are too big. They are spacefighters and wouldnt work well for the levels because they would be too big and move too quickly. Unless of course Bungie put in space battles in the game. that would be cool

Light? I beg your pardon. They carry NUKES!

Covie version is called the seraph (sp?). That thing is huge. I think it is bigger than a pelican. Maybe a helicopter, but a very small one, like an upgraded huey or maybe an apache.

how do u know they carry nukes? and if they did that would be really cool like every 10min in a multiplayer game the nuke would come back and someone had to activate it and it would destroy everything and there was one part of the map where u could survive. that would be really cool

I meant "light" as in armor class, which is how military vehicles are sometimes referred to.

And thanks for looking up the name of the Covenant fighter. In the arbiter missions where you are going to find the Heretic, there is a seraph fighter inside the ship bay. While it is somewhat large, in comparison to a spaceship nowadays, it is fairly small.

it says in the books they can carry nukes. I think at one time a Longsword fires a nuke. But anyways those kind of craft using nukes isnt that farfetched as in the future of Halo nukes are a very common weapon. If not Longswords, I would like to at least be able to pilot a pelican but on a big level.

The nukes in the Halo universe are often referred to as "clean nukes", which means they don't give off radiation, just a really big boom - lots of immediate devastation without the long-term damage. Also, they have nukes that are the size (appoximately) or footballs - Kelly throws one into a Covenant cruiser in First Strike while riding a banshee.

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Ah, let's see how much I remember... It was about the size of an over-inflated football, and was called the Fury Tac Nuke, or something along those lines. Turned that cruiser into the "biggest fragmentation grenade" ever, as Kelly referred to it.

Nukes in multiplayer? Bad idea. Everyone dying from a massive explosion wouldn't make for a very fun situation, in my opinion.
