One of the biggest problems with the halo 2 campaign would be the environments which were frankly quite dull and boring at times. Halo 3 needs to have some more large and open levels like Assault on the Control Room from Halo:CE, it needs more intricate battlesites.

No. one of the biggest problems is idiots who create new topics rather than reading the stickies and posting in the existing topics. Also, another problem is whiners who can't make a pac-man game, but still complain about one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) games of all time.

actually....if youre smart enough, you can get outside of pretty much every single level in Halo 2. Once you do....youll realize how large they actually are...

I know you probly mean just larger levels in general, like actually being able to fight in the entire vastness of them and I totally agree with you. That would be amazing, and it is possible, but you have to remember that Bungie was rushed when it came to Halo 2....they had downsize pretty much everything

I am not complaining, I consider halo 2 to be a great game, but I was just commenting on one of it's few flaws and suggesting how halo 3 can improve on it (this is a halo 3 forum, is it not?). Why don't YOU take a look at the stickies, my thread doesn't break any rules, thank you very much. You call me an idiot, but you seem to be acting like the idiot here ;)

Honestly, I don't mind him sharing his ideas, but i don't like having 30 topics on the same thing. If he had posted this as a reply to the "Halo 3 Ideas" topic, It would be great.

I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This kid is one of the only people (besides me and a few others) that has realized that halo 2's campaign was largely ignored to put more focus on multiplayer bull.

Instead of telling us Halo 2 sucked, tell us how to improve it. Saying "Halo 2 sucks" is the mark of an idiot. Saying "I think they could have added a level with a covenant ship" (or something like that) makes it a helpful topic rather than spam.

Bungie didn't create a whole new forum section to try and compact everything into one "halo 3 ideas" thread. I've been looking around here and I honestly haven't seen a thread commenting on this topic.

I am sorry, but you are really starting to piss me off. I am a bigger halo 2 fan than you will ever be, I have spent 100's of hours playing it since the day it came out, and I would never say "Halo 2 sucks." Obviously you need to go back to preschool and learn how to read, nowhere in my thread did I even make a hint of "halo 2 sucks."

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

Where, in any part of his post, did he say the words, or something even remotely like the words, "Halo 2 sucked?" I'm honestly having quite a hard time finding it. Maybe you could point it out?

All I saw was an understandable opinion of Halo 2's campaign environments. Rarely did I feel like I was playing a level comparable to Halo: Combat Evolved's Halo, Truth and Reconciliation, or Assault on the Control Room levels. They didn't seem quite as big, and some of the action-bits between the start of the mission and the destination felt repetitive. Halo seemed to throw something new at you, like Hunters around the corner, or two Banshees attacking from out of nowhere.
