I <3 you too Bungie

You guys ever see the TV show, Sons of Guns? What would you think if they came out with a show that covered the video game industry from the perspective of a studio, say, Bungie?

Pretty sure Bungie would want a LOT of lag time between shooting and airing. I think it would be cool, and I think we could all enjoy it, right? Talk about some awesome community involvement and transparency.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I think Bungie should get on Blog talk radio or Twitch T.V and like every Friday have like a little 2 hour show where Deej and Urk answer questions and talk about stuff.

This could be kind of interesting. See how developers look at things like deadlines and sites full of fans demanding more information.

Love it.

It wouldn't work unless there's a pointless father daughter coworker drama / love relationship going on.

Ha! I get it! Cause.. the show.. aahhhh you funny.

Honestly, I think it'd be great and there's enough... uh... colorful characters around the studio that I think, ratings-wise, it'd do well.

Urk and Deej could fill the father-daughter drama, and instead of the love story we could just go for the flesh appeal. No pants and all.

I've never seen that show, so I have no idea.

I think that such a show would be bad for them.

I like the idea, Foman's mom can make an appearance!!

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

As long as something gets blown up every episode.

Wheres Meh Sniper?

Youtube page

It would be cool but I don't think "Sons of Bungie" would make the best tittle.

  • 01.22.2012 8:06 AM PDT

It would be very cool.

They would probably have some sort of suspenseful music just before they cut to a commercial so the audience can think it's a cliffhanger even though it's not because it's really not that suspenseful.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Awesome? Absolutely. Profitable? Not so much.

I would love to see the inner workings of a game studio, but I can easily see it getting rather boring fairly quick. A webisode every now and then would be pretty cool though.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

I hate reality shows, so I would never watch this show. I'd in fact resent Bungie for making it. Manufactured drama solely to manufacture drama, as is the staple and order of operations for every reality show I know about, annoys me to no end.

An occasional walk through the studio, and some interviews with people would be better IMO. Like Frankie's tour vids. I'd watch something like that.

Why not a Twitch weekly update or broadcast?

I don't know. Seems, meh. Some walk throughs would be cool.

  • 01.22.2012 5:11 PM PDT

Wat would they do in the show, there isn't much they can show to the public.

  • 01.22.2012 5:14 PM PDT

When the Bungie machine is up and running at full speed their blogs, spin-off sites, podcasts, ViDocs, news articles, content syndication and more add up to being more valuable than any of these ideas.

I was thinking the same thing.

The tide is turning, brothers! Let us take our kingdom back!

If it had a lack of drama, and was made solely for Bungie fans on Bungie.net, I'd be wrapped.

  • 01.23.2012 12:10 AM PDT

I ♥ Bungie!

I would watch it. But what does "sons" have to do with it? Couldn't it be something like "Studio of Bungie" or something like that?

I think there could be actual drama, not just manufactured drama. The only thing you would have to manufacture is the sex appeal, and I already covered that in my earlier post.
