Well some guys at high impact halo seemed to have disproved the lyca arg theory, Ive read all 5 pages of posts and untill i got to the very last one I was convinced it was an ARG. Read it all if you want. Its at least very interesting, but the last post is where the proof is. LYCA.com is not related to Bungie or Halo 3.

actually a huge dissapointment for me :(

Ya actually it makes more sense if you read the posts before it.

And I realize that its been almost 2 days since, but i havent found anything disproving LYCA in the bungie forums so I decided to let the ppl here know so there not wasting alot of time on this.

Man, I hope there is an ARG though, I miss ilovebees.

dude, theres just no way. the site creater blateny said it was just an experiment. If it was an ARG maybe the creator wouldnt have been so blatent, but he/she was. although i really wish it was a halo 3 ARG! arrrrr i want one so bad.

Why would someone take the time to make such a bad site? If it was just an experiment wouldnt you think they would have put less time into it, instead of writing all those passages? Just think about it for a second and dont immediately dismiss the idea.

Alright, this is just my hopes for an ARG talking....but i'll reconsider. This is pretty strong proof though. What ideas do you have about why the site creator would post this in that forum?

Truthfully I think that wasnt the site creator. Anyone could have made an email adress, or maybe not. He could have just said that to try throw us off somehow. I have weak theories but I have a feeling that we were on to something investigating that website. Doesnt it just seem odd that someone would make a site which had all these references to Halo.

Hmm, try to make an account at that site and see if it requires email verification. if it doesnt we can go right back into looking for clues, but if it does we can try to figure out something else. Your theories arent that week, i mean look at some of the -blam!- other ppl are posting. haha

I agree with GAC. It just doesn't seem believable to me, that someone would make an experimental site like that. I mean, that's too complicated with the dots and mysterious directions.
Btw, doesn't a .com domain cost you? If it does, why would keep a site (and an experimental one) up and running for eight years?

Nooo, you can't get this not-ARGness through my thick skull... noohoo..

Yeah, that website does require you to activate the account via email.

more proof for the original argument there.

But for the other side, lyca.com has to be a very expensive domain name for an experiment. and to keep it that long......suspicious. even if its not halo related, id like more info on this site because the 'just an experiment" excuse isnt good enough.

That's no problem. You can fake the "site" part ie. penguins@aregreat.com or penguins.shall@rise.net and you just need a sort of "premium" account on jippii.fi. That gives or at least gave you the right to come up with your own e-mail address. It just costs :(

so what are you sugesting??? That it really wasnt the site creator posting? Idk about that. who would go through the trouble?

I agree that the email confirmation is good proof, but like you said it is wierd that someone would have that site for so long if it was only a test. But say this website wasnt really for Halo 3, why would he post there and not at the source (bungie.com). Many people said they heard it at Bungie, wierd.

Ya and his post barly had any info in it. I wish he would have stayed longer and took a few questions, but maybe he couldnt because this is an ARG and were just playing it like he wants. if thats true, its a shame that topic was shut down because it had some pretty dedicated ppl working on the game.

Whoever googled Lyca the first time around didn't do a very good job. The line is from a William Blake poem, "the Little Girl Found".

'Follow me,' he said;
'Weep not for the maid;
In my palace deep,
Lyca lies asleep.'

Did anyone notice that the guy who claimed to be lyca joined the same day the topic was started, and was banned from the forums soon after? And arent the odds agaisnt someone actually getting to a site and forum topic that has to do exactly with a site they made? I think this is not the real creator of the site, and lyca.com is indeed related to halo 3

I sent the site creator an email earlier today about what the site's purpose was and what it ment, so I will post that when I get a response.

He obviously joined just to let the ppl know that his site is just an experiment. And then gave out his password, so it wasnt him that was banned. could have been anyone. the account could have been banned by princeofthesword just because the password was given. Anyway....keep thinking

Yes, I'm suggesting that it wasn't the creator posting. The other possibility is that it was the creator, but didn't want to reveal anything (yet?).

If I had some extra money I'd definitely do that. It'd be funny to watch dedicated bungie fans mourning...sick stuff.

That "premium" account costs 20 euros per year, and you can make 10 different accounts with it. penguish@antarc.tic neat...
