hmm.
something doesn't quite sit right with me on the explanation of lyca by this guy and the mods.
no one makes a cryptic site about their cat that well.
most "fan sites" are horrible uses of html and are very basic.
the intuitiveness of the index.html design show this guy knows more than the average joe.
second, why did he use images to show his text instead of just normally type text?
and the fact that the site was created al least 6 years ago means nothing. the cortana letters are older than that, and are increasingly relavent since the trailer. and since back in 1999, the letters mentioned Lyca, it's completely possible that bungie registered that for later use.
so here's my take on the site. at this point i don't think its an ARG. i'd like it do be, but i dunno. but there is something iffy about it. it could have something to do with halo3 and still not be an ARG, remember that.
to the person who mentioned that if it WAS a bungie sponsored ARG, then the poster on HiH could've just been a bungie employee stirring the pot. and if that's true, then HiH has the IP addy that the original message was posted from. i doubt that HiH would give that out to anyone, but i've been at HiH for a LONG time, since before halo2, and i could try getting a mod to give me that info...
one thing i noticed on lyca.com is the numbers.
in a couple of the messages, there are numbers that are speeled out then followed by there character, ie, seven (7).
in order, the numbers are:
7, 4, 2, 2, 15
i can't find anything unique or relevent to bungie at all. except that the covie ship braille theory thing. on the ship there are dot sequences in the middle that are 4, 2, 2.. but thats weak.
