It is possible that now that the war is over, some humans will try to join the elite religion.

Think of it, some people will join any cult. Why do you think scientology is so big? Most humans would reject the covenant religion, but alot would say WOAH COOL!! and try to get in.

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Elite's have a religion?

I thought they were in the middle of a faith crisis. Or has this changed in Glasslands?

They are in a faith crisis--Telcam refuses to disregard his religion, the one he was brought up on all his life, while others have gone as far as torching Forerunner artifacts in hatred for the lies they've been fed. It's all a confused mess right now.

In any case, part of any crisis involves multiple viewpoints, including the traditionalists.

Yeah, join the religion of a guy who hates them. Makes sense.

They typically don't join someone who hates them. You don't see many black folks in the -blam!- for a reason.

Where was it said Telcam hates the humans? Jul, yeah, he does, but I don't recall Telcam ever saying he hates humans, he hates the Arbiter. A race of people as naturally arrogant and prideful as the Elites would not do under the tables dealings with the race the individual loaths such as Telcam does.

lol they do quite a bit actually. Self hate is a big thing in humanity.

And its a surprise people haven't already started worshipping the forerunners

"Find where the liar hides, so that I may place my boot between his gums!" - Rtas 'Vadum

Why would any Sangheili allow a Human to join their institutions? They despise Humans, and that ain't going to change. Telcam expresses his disdain for Humans in chapter one, and when he finds out about Humanity's inheritance he is just as likely to do what Truth did and try to wipe out Humanity rather than do something different.
