BE HUMAN

Fight for Earth. Fight for Humanity.

I believe it should follow something along the lines of Contact Harvest or halo Wars, to ease new people to the Haloverse by planting them at the beginning of the Human- Covenant war.

It should look like this -

Sorry I'm a noob who can't make a hyperlink on this site. :/

But yeah, make a Halo movie like these!

Honestly I'd prefer if they did something more along the lines of Fall of Reach where we follow Chief and introduce the Spartan program. Then maybe go into a bit of Contact Harvest to show the beginning of the war.

Killing Covie bastards since 2001.

As long as it isn't directly following Chief and the game closely. I don't know if I'm the only one but if the movie featured the Chief then it would feel... awkward and just not right. Maybe have the intro, discussing the Spartan program, and a bit of background. Then go into the perspective of a unit during the war.

Should do this:

1: Not focus on Chief, but have him or another (group of) Spartan(s) act as secondary characters.

2: Choose a time in the conflict that hasn't been part of the games yet, or isn't directly interwoven with the books (for instance, a movie about GoO would be incredibly hard to follow for those new to Halo, whereas a sequel to Contact Harvest (basically between CH/Halo Wars would be better). This makes it easier accessible to newcomers, and means it wouldn't directly interfere with canon.

3: Take the raw "Saving Private Ryan in space" style the Halo trailers have been known for.

4: Focus on story, without going too deep into Forerunner influences. Make sure not everything is being tucked in...there's not even a need for Flood or Forerunners if you could focus on the Covenant alone. Don't go for action only as well.

Basically, take a look at some of the more "standalone" Halo games. Halo Wars, ODST and Reach all show how a movie could be a "standalone" thing within the larger universe. Relatively smaller scaled, and easier to follow = best option for a movie.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Make one that has nothing to do with the main storyline. If you're going to make one, do it on some unknown planet. If it includes the Chief, then it becomes Doom movie 2.0. AKA huge failure.

Reach beats GoW!
Reach beats CoD!!
Reach beats everything!!!

I'd rather it tell the story of the Didact/Bornstellar, starting with a brief introduction of the events in Cryptum, which revealed the gargantuan conflict between humans, forerunners, and the startling discovery of not just the Flood, but Precursors as well.

With a big enough CGI budget and good storytelling, made by a real author, maybe even by Greg Bear, I would very much like to see that.

Then again, I don't want to see the franchise ruined by a horrible movie. So if it doesn't have at least a 200 million budget, good acting and good CGI.

NOBODY would know why that movie is titled "Halo".
