Absolutely love it. Why?

Because now when Derp Diggler and his guests are charging across the Asylum at me or charging down a catwalk at a full sprint on the Cage for the double pummel I can just put a few shots in them and put 'em down with the forearm up close. It basically puts the idiots that rush in for melee kills (because a gun is a foreign concept, whoa) right in their place .... the respawn screen.

Thankyou 343 (wrong forum but whatever)

And speaking of the 343 forums, I bet most of those over there complaining about the TU changes, are hating it because of the above scenario no longer working out in their favor.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

I don't like it where DMR and NR fights are concerned. Everything else is fine by me.

You should honestly be able to de-shield opponents charging at you from across a catwalk before they get to you. With the old system, if they were to sprint at you for a double melee, you just de-shield them in the time it takes them to A) sprint to you and B) melee you once. Once they were de-shielded, then you could melee them before they could hit you a second time and they'd die.

Now, as long as they spray you, you will both die. I'd rather you have a chance to live than have to trade kills. The only time double melee ever worked is in extreme close quarters, but even with bleedthrough double melees still work there.

Melee not bleeding through into health always made the most sense to me. If the enemy was shielded, you could beat them to death, if they weren't, you couldn't. It made sense, it wasn't random, it was simple. I want it to go back to that.

That's a whole lot of keystrokes wasted bro.

I obviously wasn't talking about someone sprinting from across the map, lulz. Think of the distance where you're able to pace 2 shots into someone at the most.

No point in putting something funny, clever or informative here. Most probably im going to get perma-banned anyway.

Its awesome. Headshot bleedthrough is amazing and now I can more easily kill retarded double beatdown idiots.

...clearly.

And trading AR & melee kills is better than trading double melee kills how? If you can only get two bullets in the enemy before he gets two melees in, you're two close for bullets regardless of bleedthrough.

I guess I should have clarified with the distance.

But I have no idea where the kill trading is coming from?

The scenario I painted is some kid running out from behind a bridge on Asylum when I'm 10 feet away or sprinting up from the healthpack level under the Cage to catch me halfway across a catwalk. Pre-TU settings there isn't much I can do but melee back at him since shooting is pointless at that distance. 2-3 shots won't drop a shield, so we're left to street fighter and button mash it out like noobs. But with bleedthrough, now 2-3 shots plus a melee puts them down, and if they were even able to get their first melee in, I come away without a shield, but at least still alive.
