Since Destiny is going multi-platform

I've been out of the loop, so... proof?
Bungie is hiring spots for PS3 programmers, I do believe.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

I am happy with Product Sale with DLC. But they can not be greedy with the dlc. They can't go the way of Rocksteady with the Catwoman "dlc" in Arkham Asylum. or an earlier example would be Bethesda with Fallout 3. Luckily, they saw the wrong of their ways and dedicated no resources to DLC while making Skyrim. That's what bothers me most about DLC. A lot of devs/pubs are setting aside time to at least plan out DLC before the main game is even finished. I'm looking at you Bioware (ME2 dlc characters).

I assume add ons for the campaign, much like the other RPGs.

Otherwise, the multiplayer element would probably take off.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

How I look at it:
It will be on Xbox 360 (correct me here if I am wrong). For online play on the Xbox 360, you need to pay for Xbox LIVE Gold. I do not think that Bungie would want to have people paying two subscriptions to play their game as this could potentially limit the amount of people who could play it (and be a pain in the ass).

I think it will be a one-time fee, but will most likely have add-ons that will be available for download (for a fee) after the game has been out for a while.

Yes they are, but that's not proof that "Destiny" will be multiplat. For all we know those PS3 devs could be working on something completely irrelevant to Destiny. I thought there was more to OP's statement than just speculation.
It's not speculation. That's one of the first and only things they've confirmed about the game.

Got a question, comment, or concern? PM me.

If it isn't product sale I won't even bother buying it. I can't stand paying subscriptions or the fact that someone can be better because they funneled more money into the game then I did.

f2p. There's a reason the most successful games atm are f2p.

Haha just kidding they're being published by activision.

Free has little to do with why F2P games are so successful. Success isn't measured by "players" as much as "profit." The question is what part of your 'free' service do you want to make people pay for? It can't be so much that the free part looks like a demo, but it can't be so little that no one pays.

Hi I'm RT and I like to argue!

Given that Activision is the publisher I'm sure they'll be trying to monetize the game and its users from every angle imaginable and possibly some not yet conceived.

To early to tell. We don't even know what kind of game it will be.

Then that means Bungie has multiple products in the works since we know the new IP being published by Activision is for 360, PS3, and PC.

And do you really need proof? They're a third party developer. Why would they be making console exclusives? That wouldn't make sense.

Anyways I think they're going to try a mix of things. Perhaps the game retails for $40 but then has monthly fees? Lots of micro transactions.

Well, Marcus Lehto has just returned to work on something that ISN'T Destiny, but they've been hiring for PS3 programmers for a WHILE now, so I doubt it has anything to do with that. I think Destiny is going to be multiplatform.
