no actually that would be way worse because it would be highly inaccurate.Inaccurate in terms of what?

imagine you play halo for the first time, obviously youre going to suck and you will probably do bad your first few gamesNaturally, yes.

so having everything ranked shows your skill level from the beginning and shows you increase overtime. You want everything ranked? Yeah, good luck with that - that's never happening. Hopefully you meant that you want everything to be stat-tracked. If that's the case, stat-tracking does not show your progress over time; it usually deals with averages. Even if it was somehow configured to show progress over time, social playlists would negate that. Social playlists deal with very loose trueskill restrictions. That mean that one game you can be facing someone who is at, say, "skill level 1" while the next game you can be facing someone who is at "skill level 250." There is no way to track your progress in that regard because your opponents skills are always varying and thus your results will vary in a way that shows no regards to how you've improved.

Now lets say it was split up to no stats=social and stats=ranked, youre gonna suck youre first few games, but instead of going to ranked right away you go into social to practice for a bit so you dont do as bad, then you go into ranked and you do better than you should have, thus your first game of stats is not an actually representation of your actual first game which you played in social."Better than you should have." No, it could potentially help you learn, which will start you out at a higher level. This is a problem because...? Oh, right - it isn't a problem - in ranked playlists the trueskill will level people out to the skill area that they belong. I suppose custom games are unfair as well because they can also provide practice that isn't recorded as ranked?Posted by: MarkFanous
thus your first game of stats is not an actually representation of your actual first game which you played in social.
Your first game in a ranked playlist represents where you placed in your first game of that ranked playlist. Not everyone starts out at the same skill level.
hold up is everyone talking about the same stats, im not alking about having everything ranked as in that 1-50 stuff, i meant like your service record like the one that shows your average overall k/d and your weapons and medals and stuff like that, those are the stats im referring to, i thought you guys wanted to get rid of that, if you guys arent talking about that then please disregard my whole argument
