Subject: These forums are awfully quiet compared to what they used to be.

Avid Gamer, Techy and Computer Geek. Studying Computer Forensics & Security. - and yes, I'm jumping over a giant wooden acorn.

I'm feeling a little sad. I used to be a daily regular to B.net but I haven't even clicked on it in over a year. It just makes me wonder how many people have actually up and gone. For instance, absolutely none of my friends have even checked B.net for longer than I have.
The old B.net community shattered into a thousand pieces to be sprinkled over the other gaming franchises with the game forums moved. How many 'celebrity' members have vanished ever since Urk said Bungie was "going dark"?

It's an empty husk of what it used to be. No more hating on the latest game, no more in-game conspiracies, no more community collaborative projects like the BOBs, less banhammer, less jokes, less ... everything these forums used to be.

I just suppose I'm making this to try to re-establish myself with the awesome, surviving remnants of a community in a forum I use to feel apart of, a contributor to. Bungie.net just feels like a cold, dark space of the internet. It was the first forum I ever used, so this is quite... nostalgic, for me.

I suppose you guys, the remaining community, are the ever so slight pulse that keeps B.net alive, still, to this day.

Discussion value: What keeps you here & is there anything remaining from the good old days of pre/post-reach that hasn't faded away?

I don't understand oral at all. I will never do that it is so nasty! And doing things in woods sounds scary.

Just wait until they announce their next game. It will get bigger from then on, especially since it's not an Xbox exclusive.

Consistently active like members used to be, is what I'm trying to get at. I was just checking up on some old threads & members with high post counts that had been around a while; and they've been terminated or are just highly inactive. the no. of threads has dropped massively too.

EDIT: I'm just looking through some old threads/saved threads of mine, and there are a lot of absent members. It's unnerving considering these forums were bustling and a superb contender to high-traffic generic forums on the internet, and these were game-series specific!

The addition of members from other consoles(Not that there isn't now) May be disastrous.

This is what happens when there's nothing to talk about; people leave. As soon as Destiny is revealed to the public these forums will go back to their former glory. Patients my friend.

As of right now I don't think of this site as a gaming community. We've evolved into a senseless group of wayfaring internet travelers.

Implying that we were ever NOT senseless.

I ♥ Bungie!

Everyone who was in this particular forum "The Septagon" is either in the Reach or Flood Forum.

Yes? You disagree with that?! When has this site ever shown sense!

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

It's surprising active, considering we're mostly picking marrow out of bones at this point.

Balancing speed with visual fidelity.

Since what, 2010? If you think the forums aren't what they used to be after two years, just imagine how people who have been on here for over five years feel!

Generally, this. I'm actually just checking things out/posting in a few interesting threads to ensure I can keep this account. There just isn't much to do when Bungie is dark.

The forums change a lot and not at all at the same time. It kinda oscillates a lot: changes general topics quickly, but ultimately comes back to the same junk in a year or so.

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

As soon as Bungie comes out of the dark and releases some info about Destiny, the forums will spark up again. It's inevitable.

OMG REALLY? Another one of these??? BUNGIE WENT DARK! We know this, as a result, people have nothing to talk about... Stop making threads about the obvious...

Not something that I want.

I've grown fond of the current community and made some friends. Even when Bungie's dark, the Flood is the most active forum I've ever seen.

Real account.

Join me as we make new friends from different communities!

If you assign every letter of the alphabet a number, a is 1, b is 2, etc., and you take all of the values of the word "MATH", and add them, you get 42. So math is the meaning of life, the universe, and everything.

I still see the silly members, they're not gone for the most part.

It would be a lot more quiet if people quit making the same threads over and over and over and over and over and over.

This is what happens when you have nothing really to discuss because Bungie is dark. Give it some time, things will pick up eventually.
