I'm feeling a little sad. I used to be a daily regular to B.net but I haven't even clicked on it in over a year. It just makes me wonder how many people have actually up and gone. For instance, absolutely none of my friends have even checked B.net for longer than I have.
The old B.net community shattered into a thousand pieces to be sprinkled over the other gaming franchises with the game forums moved. How many 'celebrity' members have vanished ever since Urk said Bungie was "going dark"?
It's an empty husk of what it used to be. No more hating on the latest game, no more in-game conspiracies, no more community collaborative projects like the BOBs, less banhammer, less jokes, less ... everything these forums used to be.
I just suppose I'm making this to try to re-establish myself with the awesome, surviving remnants of a community in a forum I use to feel apart of, a contributor to. Bungie.net just feels like a cold, dark space of the internet. It was the first forum I ever used, so this is quite... nostalgic, for me.
I suppose you guys, the remaining community, are the ever so slight pulse that keeps B.net alive, still, to this day.
Discussion value: What keeps you here & is there anything remaining from the good old days of pre/post-reach that hasn't faded away?
