The Master Assassin.

Ok, been a long time since I made a post on any forum, but I think its about time.

Has anyone ever avoided a player, and then see them again, but they arent avoided when you check to see if they are avoided? I mean, I avoided a player because he was cheating, and then a week later, I see him again, and he isnt avoided anymore... What the hell is up with that? And another thing... Does anyone remember the days when you could kill a zombie in Living Dead, and not get killed by a sword that was still moving?

Thanks to anyone who can help me with this situation

Everytime I avoid players I seem to get matched up with them more often. I stopped bothering in the end as I avoided a guy and got matched up with him 3 games straight. It doesn't work.

You think that avoid/prefer player does anything?

  • 01.24.2012 7:14 PM PDT

The Master Assassin.

Aparently, it seems like everytime anyone avoids a player, you see that player more. Like I said earlier, I avoided someone because I suspected cheating, and I filed a complaint against him too. Checked his bungie.net medals for reach, and he has 150 something PERFECTIONS!!! I call some major BS against that. I am a Noble, and I only have 4 perfections...

I thought that if you avoid someone, you shouldnt have to play against them, ever again. WTF Microsoft... Thanks for lying to us.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

The likelihood that someone was cheating on XBL is slim to none.

"To me, a nice triple kill with the sniper is infinitely more impressive than any Living Dead Killionaire"

Does flaming people on forums count as an esport?

I'm a commendation/achievement/statistics freak.

I'm dissapointed in it too. It was our only ammunition to limit bad experiences and have more fun with who we play with.

On the perfection front, they're not very hard if you play with a full party. That being said, I only have 8, about half of which are searching random. He probably plays with a full team of high ranks who only care about perfections and plays Squad Slayer and Anniversary.

Who was the player? lol

The Master Assassin.

Dont remember his tag, and I cant find the game in my recent history but him, and his two buddies have over 100 perfections... I call BS.

what i hate is when a teammate shoots and betrays you and other teammates to make you lose the game because they're mad at you for a previous game. especially in Arena, where games count.

That counts as cheating, tampering with the game outcome.

It'd be cool if the avoid feature actually worked. Or even the file complaint feature.

You don't need to prefer your friends to 2s trick. It's super easy to do because rarely anyone even searches Arena.

Music Enthusiast. I adore all genres of music, even the ones you don't like, Subway is -blam!- amazing, and this is the greatest song ever created by one man IMO.
If I like you enough, I'll mail you a Subway Sandwich. If I hate you, expect a -blam!- nuke.

Low pop... goes the weasel. :3

it has about the same pop as MLG. 90% of Reach's pop are casuals, which was the minority of previous Halo's. Sad.

The Master Assassin.

All Im saying is, it would be great to be able to avoid someone, and actually never see them again.

How many of you guys play Living Dead?
and then how many of you get tired of dying after the zombie is already dead?

Heres another good question. How many of you think that if you betray in Living Dead, they should automatically become a zombie for betraying you?

Xenoblade <3

It never does anything. Just do not waste your time avoiding players.

MLG does not have true skill restrictions like Arena.

@OP, I don't think they really do anything but from what I've heard (which may or may not be true).

Avoiding someone does not guarantee that you won't ever match them ever again, it simply reduces the chance to.

Preferring someone has more of a priority over an avoid, as well. You also need to avoid anyone else that hes searching with, you can't avoid just 1 person on a team, needs to be everyone.

Back in H3 there were also rumors of it depended on what you were avoiding for. If you avoided someone for player skill, lacking skill than they would have a higher chance of being on the other team, if they so happened to match you again.

Like I said, I doubt they do anything and everything I said is probably false.

Just wait a short while then search again, if you don't want to play the players you just played. Its not like this game has ranks or anything, they'll find a game fast.
