It's a Forum. An Off-Topic one, so people tend to be a bit more rowdy.

Community people who look down on them and call 'em turds?

They're just turds from a different pile.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

This guy!

OT: It has its moments, but overall I try to stick to the non-everday-flood-user topics and I visit often enough.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

10% interesting
20% funny
70% pent-up frustration
100% non-Bungie related

13.72 billion years in the making.

On December 1st, 2012, I met Neil deGrasse Tyson. I shook the man's hand, and even made him laugh. Not much else to do with my life now.

Well, as a devoted Floodian, I view it as home.

Sometimes I pretend this forum has a giant billboard that says "We're better than all of you and your opinion doesn't matter." Not that all of you a jerks, just some of you are...less than kind towards new users.

The flood is... the flood. I don't spend very much time there, but it's fun if you enjoy its culture. I have nothing against it.

As a devout Floodian, It's home.
Way I see this place?
A rich, upper class neighborhood.
The Flood is....Life.
Different, changing, varying.
Stupid, Smart, and never the same in any way.
The community forum will never have it, and you probably will never understand.

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

A clear reflection of what the internet houses, in terms of typical users. However, I'm one of those users, but not in the same sense.

They're still governed by the set rules of the website, so it's not exactly the whole internet. Thankfully.

Absolutely not. Try harder.

OT: It's just a forum. The people in it are amusing to watch. Lurking in the Flood is often reminiscent of watching an ant farm.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

I suspect llamas are secretly wizards. I <3 poptarts n' milk. I like me. Grimick is defined as: a logical parodox, the act of funnaling a potato down your throat, and a deliciously flavored muffin (with pecons and blueberries). Norway is the Swedish word for 'moron'. My sister has cancer, so i get to use handicap parking and cut small children in line at Disneyland.

"Don't eat doughnuts on thin ice."

"The pancake, my friend, has officially been flipped."

I have had some good experiences on it, and with the right topics, the forum can, in fact, provide sound opinion and logic. You just have to ask the right questions.

I use The Flood to educate the younger generation on subjects such as quantum mechanics and cosmology.

It's very important. You don't want me making science threads here, do you?

The Flood is fine. Sometimes we have to give ultimatums when its behavior stars to go off the deep end, but it keeps people around while the studio is dark.

Too bad it's not worth digging through sewage to get that bit of candy.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Entertaining occasionally, but mostly cringe-worthy at how lame some of the stuff is.

  • 01.24.2012 10:24 PM PDT

I very rarely venture into the Flood anymore.

I don't know, the candy can be pretty damn good at times.
