When I say 'lift off' its a figure of speech, the wraith doesn't actually fly into the air or something like that.
Now, on topic, I recently discovered that when you're in a wraith (moving forward) and hold down the brake button (in this case its RB for me as I use the default button layout) the front middle of the wraith goes up a fair bit. It works better when you boost instead of going at the normal speed.
When you stop moving or release the brake button, the front will then lower and return to normal.
Im not sure if this is old or new news, so my question is; whats up with that? Does it serve a purpose or has any effect during gameplay?

It doesn't really affect anything, it happens with the Ghost in Halo 3 as well (it might work with the Ghost and Revenant in this game, but I can't remember). I suppose it might be slightly easier to splatter a person that is jumping.
