If you haven't been living under a rock for the last several months is has become apparent that Bungie's next game(s) are going to expand off the xbox 360 and move to other systems. Before i begin however, note that i am talking about Bungie's next game in the sense that this will be a full game, not simply an addicting, time-passing, arcade game.
Now as a gamer who originally attempted to buy the xbox for halo, and was ultimately told by his mother that she would buy the next generation of that said console when it came out, it was a natural decision for me to buy the xbox 360 to keep playing halo. It also influenced me to buy PC computers so i could ultimately play any game i wanted. (AKA Halo for PC [i was very obsessed with the original halo as a young child])
Well times and needs change so i ultimately became the owner of a MAC and PS3 as well as my old Microsoft companions. The question that has been floating around my head, as well as Bungie's heads, i am sure, is what platform will gamers buy the next game on. I love my xbox for the online and competitive play that has been its cornerston, but the graphic on my PS3 far outstrip anything else except higher end computers which, unfortunately, i do not possess. Then again, gaming on my pc has never been a bad experience, but the portability of my MAC makes it a competitor in this fight as well.
On top of that the mobile phone and tablet gaming markets are skyrocketing. Casual gaming has become more popular than the solo adventuring or online competitions that we gamers cherish. This may be a growing trend around the world, but Bungie also has to look to the handheld market that already has an established grasp on the children and public transportation commuters of the world.
Considering all of this, the question posed asks you to say what platform you would spend money on, and which system would be your primary method of playing bungie games. This is not to preclude the possibility of buying bungie games on multiple platforms, but instead which would you prefer to play them on. I am sure that i have named every primary system but if you feel I missed something pick other and explain why.
