It’s funny; a couple seconds ago I took a look at the Marathon section for the first time, and imagine my surprise when I saw screen shots I recognized. The guns and some characters… god that was a while ago, kind of sad that I had forgotten the games name but also nice to know I have played something that Bungie has made, besides Halo :-).

Yes few we are... but having people come in new to the game is still great!

You will find there are more of us than you think. It always makes my day when a lost soul [re]discovers Marathon.

...even the complaints that "it's not as pretty as Halo", especially once they understand the era this game was made in...

Y'know, it may not be as pretty as Halo, but Marathon (and the sequels even more so (and the 3rd party scenarios to a ridiculous degree in some cases)) is still one of my favorite visual experiences when it comes to gaming. It may not look as realistic when compared to more modern games, I would still rather look at it than, say, Doom3. And some of the Chapter screens were just amazingly great.

Yeah, ever since I found out that Craig Mullins did the art in Marathon, he's been one of my favorite artists. His works for Bungie games are great, and his originals are even better in some cases. I especially like these

I really hope Mullins did some art for the upcoming Halo Art book I've been hearing about.

Edit: Hmm..the link isnt going where I want it to for some reason...its the 'mystery project' under Commercial gallery
