about a week ago I was playing Reach and was having an extremely frustrating time playing games. I was consistantly quitting games out of frustration of my team quitting until it said if i quit anymore then i would be temporarily banned. So respectfully, I stopped quitting. That was a week ago and since then I've continued to respect the warning until today when this kid kept betraying me for the sniper. As damage control I may or may not have betrayed him. But as soon as I betrayed him, I was booted. I guess the boot counted as quitting because now it says I have been temporarily banned.

Although I agree with the quitting rule, I disagree with the fact that the ban also applies when you're booted.

Okay, listen, we should get our stories straight, all right? If anyone asks, and no one's gonna ask, don't worry, but if anyone asks, tell them as far as you know, the last time you checked, everyone looked pretty much alive, all right? Not dead.

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

I was consistantly quitting games

I stopped reading right here, because the solution to your problem is to stop doing that.

If you stopped reading there, then you have no idea what my problem was or if I even had one.

I agree with the first part of this statement but not the second part. If it did not count towards the quit ban then other players could use this to their advantage to get out of a game, thus still affecting the team they are on and leaving them a man down just like quitting a game.

If i'm not having fun playing a game, I'm going to stop playing that game. When my entire team quits, and it is just me getting spawn killed by more experienced players then I don't see why I should be forced to sit there and play a game that isn't fair or fun. I apologize that my randomly selected team did this "constantly" but I shouldn't have to keep staying in games after getting screwed over. Especially since most of the game types are strictly team based.

Yes, lag outs count as a quit. This should be common knowledge by now.

Stop crying and deal with it.

If you're not having fun, you can quit. This is true. However, at this point, if you're having THAT much frustration stemming from the game, I would open the tray and play a different game.

Personally, I get terrible teammates all the time. I've played with people who literally go 0-16 with no assists, and it makes me angry. Do I quit? No, because I don't feel the need to act like a child when I don't get my way.

The quit option is there in case you need to leave for real-life purposes and don't want to sit in-game AFK. It's not so spoiled brats like yourself can quit because you have bad teammates or you don't get the gametype you like.

Trust me, bad teammates are everywhere. Stop acting like you're so put-upon.

That was the worst metaphor I've ever read, but I understand what you mean perfectly.

my buddy and i play often and he has a 2 year old with down syndrome and we play just fine. he may have to stop for a couple mins but he is back to keep playing afterwards. not saying its the same for every kid everywhere though.

Metaphor: A figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.

You're welcome.

I meant hypothetical situation, not metaphor. Don't know what I was thinking.

If there was a loophole in the quit ban system, people would abuse it.
If booting didn't count towards the quit ban, people would take advantage of it to get out of games.
