Next-gen Call of Duty title for the Xbox 720. Or at least something for the Xbox 720.

I'm aware you're no longer signed with microsoft, but that doesn't mean that part of your separation deal wasn't to produce a release title for the platform.

And with all the rumors cropping up about the Xbox 720, the likely 2013 release for it, and Bungie's 3-year dev cycle...

I wouldn't really consider this post an article but it did make me wanna sing Dirty Little Secret by the All American Rejects.

Edit: You changed the link to say thread, rather than article. Ninja'd.

Edit #2: I'll keep you my dirty little secret...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

I'd rage quit.

Where do you get the idea that Bungie will make a Call of Duty game?

If Bungie did that I think I wouldn't buy another game from them ever again.

That would be a slap in the face of every single Bungie fan.

Bungie is going to make a Kick Ass game of something so amazing it will probably be just as good if not better than Halo. Bungie doesn't make a living re-making and reselling the same thing over and over again.

Bungie takes the time to make new universes for their fans to explores with new stories and new heros. I know we will see a game and a story we have never seen before. It will be unique and it will be a Bungie game.

Now that Microsoft isn't pulling the strings, I expect us all to be really dazzled in what Bungie makes.

Not sure if serious or just sarcastic

Also, how would it be a "slap in the face of every single Bungie fan"? I mean, sure, I wouldn't like it, but wouldn't a real fan support them no matter what they make?

i remember the contract being that Activision will publish Bungies games, not that Activision was in control over Bungie and what game they produce.

This part of the deal doesn't really have a difference on the chances that a CoD title is their current project.

I am sure Bungie could make cod a lot better because they seem to be one of the few game devs that really care anymore. infinity ward and treyarck make cod to make money and they re willing to remake it a thousand times.

I would be disappointed to say the least. I mean I would be excited to see this cool new universe, something amazing we have not experienced before.

Also, Bungie is no one's code monkey. They did not sign up with Activision to make re-makes of average shooters for money.

Would I buy it? maybe (it better be the best cod ever made)

But it doesn't make any sense and I am excited to play a new series. cod is old, it has been done so many times. I think many of us are anticipating the next big thing from Bungie and having them make a game by a completely different game dev would be unbelievably asinine.

But I respect Bungie as a game dev. They always make very good games and they have for a long time. I really feel Mictosoft was holding back Bungie's true potential.

Which is exactly why I would rage quit; I love Bungie because their innovative, creative, and aren't exactly out to find a cash cow and stick with it. If they wanted to make a CoD title, they'd stick with Halo - seeing as it's just as profitable. CoD just isn't Bungie, and I would be thoroughly disappointing with them as a company.

Meh, what I'm I talking about, it'll never happen; I know my Bungie too well. Now, onto more important matters....
