Poll: How should your halo 3 be played?  [closed]
With no auto aim/ lock boxes.:  71%
(12 Votes)
With total lock on no skill involved.:  29%
(5 Votes)
Total Votes: 17

I want it out.
Those who agree that we need a lock on free competition just vote and share your oppinion below.

Also please try to promote the use or use yourself one of the following signature mesaages simply stating what we want and how we want a more fair competition in halo 3.

Possible group slogans in signatures to show bungie what the populous wants.

(I'd rather kill and be killed with legit head shots rather than luck of the aimbot)
(Halo Auto Aim Born Nov 9th 04 Death 07)
(I don't want my children to base FPS skill on Grand Theft Auto style hit boxes and lock on)

Please we need to tell Bungie exactly how we feel. No matter how minor, auto aim must be removed.

I am also trying to argue the removal of lock on rockets in favor of making the vehicles more like halo 1 less bullet resistant though that is another case for another thread.

Also I only show the two extremes in my poll to show that the public either wants no auto aim at all or prefers undeserved kills.

"In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move." -Douglas Adams

why don't you try making a game that can pitch 16 people together over a person's home internet connection that is so lag free you don't need autoaim?

I agree its too much and should be reduced, but stop whining.

you know why its so hard?

because it has no auto-aim.

i agree its too high and stuff like slide-sniping need to be fixed, but aa is necessary

It seems when you team kill the sensitivity jumps around, but halo 3 should run like halo 1 in terms of multiplayer

The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the WONTON!!!

First off I always love the choices presented in these types of polls. "Do you choose my way, which is the only correct way. Or are you a complete moron who deserves to die." You just wind up sounding like you think the world revolves around you. This is the real world... other people have opinions that are as right or wrong as yours.

Now to answer the question EVERY game has hit boxes. There is no such thing as no auto-aim. Especially if its designed to be played over the internet. Personally I say to tone down the auto-aim. But I don't want to see Halo become one of those horrible FPS either. The ones where everything is so slow and boring. Halo is fast paced. I think it needs smaller hit boxes and less auto-aim... but those things still serve there purpose...

Five Tenets of Bungie.net Forum Life:
1. Trolls will always be well fed.
2. Blame-ability thy name is stosh.
3. Bungie has no control over retail prices.
4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

I think some people would stop complaining if they played Star Wars: Republic Commando's multiplayer on Live. To think, you actually have an option to enable or disable auto-aim in your player settings...

Honestly though, Halo had its fair share of auto-aim as well. I couldn't count on my hands and feet how many times I've taken more damage than I needed to because a Grunt jumping across the screen pulled me away from killing a nearby Elite. Yes, it's happened, just (apparently) not as often as it has on Halo 2.

Don't call it an aim-bot! The "Auto-Aim" isn't really even "auto-aim". Bungie needs to rename it.

Bungie's "Auto-Aim" is basically a motion compensation. It does not aim "for you". You must do the work entirely by yourself, but you don't have to worry about the targets moving around beyond your ability to follow them. If you wan't a head-shot, aim at your targets head because auto-aim isn't going to do a darn thing.

The Idea is a bit similar to the steady-cam effect used on consumer Videocameras.
