Well guys, sometimes people swear. And since I'm not a 10 year old girl, I think I should be able to decide if I want to see someone's post in it's entirety or not.
I think -Blam!- has a certain charm to it, and sets the site apart from others- It's feels like it fits here.
I don't care much for curse words anyway, I swear and hear swearing enough when I'm at work. If the filter were gone, all you'd get would be little twerps or uneducated masses, swearing every two seconds, probably not even spelling the curse words properly, and using it incorrectly in a sentence.
Besides, you can usually get the gist of what curse word a person is using from whatever isn't censored.
Furthermore, how would turning the filter off improve my, or anyones' experience on these forums?
And frankly, if a person is taking the time to spell a curse word, they obviously aren't creating something on topic. There are many more words of a descriptive nature that are much more valid and useful then any curse word you can think of.
I think the filter is fine, and having the ability to turn it on or off seems pretty useless. What more can you get out of a persons argument or post if you can see censored words?

Why don't members have a button that can turn off the blam filter?
