People who don't play campaign, heck people who didn't finish Halo:Reach on legendary solo is BAD (underlined). You might be asking why would you say that?
Its understandable that you would nowadays run straight to the multiplayer when you get a new popular game but never touch in your lifetime? It seems that people ONLY play the multiplayer and never even touch campaign once (maybe 1 level or two). It really shows the community's skill level and the huge skill cap. It also shows most people don't care about achievements.
Not playing the campaign for any game is offensive to developers because they pour their blood, cried tears, and worked longed hours to make games we like. Soon or later games WILL just have multiplayer.
Seriously has campaign become obsolete?
Wow, this doesn't sound elitist at all. People will play a game as much or as little as they want. If people don't like campaigns, that's their choice. Likewise with individuals who don't enjoy multiplayer. This doesn't mean they are bad in any sense, unless they are overly judgmental at how others enjoy their game in their own time.
And furthermore, not all games are built for the single-player campaign, and in the future, may be made only for multiplayer. That's not bad, it's fulfilling a marketable demand. Will single-player die as a result? Of course not. How many games have come out in the last year alone that focus almost entirely on single player? (Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Saint's Row, etc...)
