Subject: People who don't play campagin

People who don't play campaign, heck people who didn't finish Halo:Reach on legendary solo is BAD (underlined). You might be asking why would you say that?

Its understandable that you would nowadays run straight to the multiplayer when you get a new popular game but never touch campaign in your lifetime? It seems that people ONLY play the multiplayer and never even touch campaign once (maybe 1 level or two). It really shows the community's skill level and the huge skill cap. It also shows most people don't care about achievements.

Not playing the campaign for any game is offensive to developers because they pour their blood, cried tears, and worked longed hours to make games we like. Soon or later games WILL just have multiplayer.

Seriously has campaign become obsolete?

Not the campaign. The multiplayer is debatable.

Last member of the i4Ni clan.

All not playing campaign means is that there is no hope for new gamers that do such, because they only play games for flashes of excitement, not storytelling and quality.

The campaign is boss in this game, I could play it every god damn game - forever.

Wow, this doesn't sound elitist at all. People will play a game as much or as little as they want. If people don't like campaigns, that's their choice. Likewise with individuals who don't enjoy multiplayer. This doesn't mean they are bad in any sense, unless they are overly judgmental at how others enjoy their game in their own time.

And furthermore, not all games are built for the single-player campaign, and in the future, may be made only for multiplayer. That's not bad, it's fulfilling a marketable demand. Will single-player die as a result? Of course not. How many games have come out in the last year alone that focus almost entirely on single player? (Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Saint's Row, etc...)

I loved the campaign. But thats because im not a stick in the mud.

I can dig up a 1000+ reply thread where I explained pretty much everything wrong with the Campaign. It wasn't awful but compared to past Halo games I couldn't bear to play it for more than two missions at a time.

I can jump into ODST and play start to finish at least twice a day and still enjoy it.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Campaign is only obsolete when the campaign sucks ass, which Reach's did.

  • 01.25.2012 7:44 PM PDT

campaign in Reach is boring to me. It's not fun like Halo 3's. And who gives a crap about some silly legendary symbol for completing reach's campaign. I'm sorry but I'd rather not waste my time.

I couldn't agree with you more, video games are an art just like books or movies, and If I were the writer/creator of Halo, I would be so ticked off. It's like buying a book and just reading the acknowlegdements. Well, it's not really like that, but that's the best comparison I could think of.

After all, the story is what makes Halo Halo. The Forerunners, the Covenant, the Flood, the Halos themselves.

We have the winners.

In soviet B.net you don't delete the flood, the flood deletes you.

If the following has ever happened to you on the flood: been butthurt, offended, angry from someone's post, feel like Nerd Raging . . . you have the right to SHUT UP

Also, if you play Reach this is YOU

WRONG.

Developers know that some people only play a game for multilayer. The developers of Modern warfare 3 even mentioned that some will only play Multiplayer and that they understood it. Saying all developers would get butthurt over how the CONSUMER play their game is just a retarded comment to make.

CONSUMERS have the right to play a damn game HOWEVER the crap they want. As for reach that game is dead to me and doesn't exist. Halo 3 came then Halo 4. I don't recall a Halo Reach and it's terrible campaign existing.

I find Halo:Reach the best campaign.

CONSUMER DECISION.

  • 01.25.2012 7:54 PM PDT

Beat the game on legendary by myself within the first few days.

Wasn't impressed. Was boring, and un-inspiring to me.

Also, achievements are for the casual player type anyways.

I prefer my ranked levels and thrashing people online than comparing easy to get achievements. (or time consuming ones like getting 100,000 kills for 50 fake points that do nothing for you)

1. MW3 developers represent all game developers?
2. Its a known fact Call of Duty isn't famous for its campaign so its obvious they would say such a thing.

  • 01.25.2012 8:18 PM PDT

Two makes there more than speakers.

But Reach (IMO) had the worst Campaign.

Yeah, that's Call of Duty, which is like simply for its gameplay and it has almost no story. Halo became famous for its incredible fiction. 90% of what Halo is is story.
