Ok, I was just watching the Halo 3 trailer and i thought... wouldn't it be cool if there was this huge map, comparable to the size of the total area shown in the trailer, that was used as a landscape for one, universal party, open to all on matchmaking. This would be an alternative to normal matchmaking playlists of course, and separate from individual parties.. one that a near infinite amount of players can join into for one constant epic battle not confined by time or kills... a true free for all if you will..

any thoughts?

well seeing as how the trailer IS a level. its very likely that the multiplayer maps are gonna be huge.

near infinite players? wtf is that?

once you get above like 32 to 64 players ALL trying to share a connection it gets incredibly laggy.

halo 2 got that way with only like 10 people.

throw in a Halo-ized Sonic burger spot and condos and i'd be set

Eh?

Lol...that would be sweet. Although you would need about 20 dedicated servers made by bungie ....cause if you didnt...you could probably take a two hour nap waiting for the first bullet to come out of you gun after you pressed the trigger. LAG sucks.
