?

I think it's stupid. There's a lot more I can do than be a spammer.

To prevent spam. Just because you are a group leader doesn't mean you are any better than any other person.

Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

Probably because B.net has one carpet anti-spam filter, and it would tedious work to change the spam filter.

If I was to guess, because Bungie doesn't trust group administrators any more than any other user to not attempt to crash Bungie.net with excessive spam.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

Iggy, what are you up to?

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

It doesn't really matter who you are, you're still a potential spammer just like everybody else.
Besides, if the filter were lifted, what would you do differently? Spam people? That's a potential ban, my friend. The rule is in place for a reason, and nobody should be an exception to that reason.

I really do not understand group moderators and such. Pretty new to them.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success.

The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the stupid ones are full of confidence.

In terms of power on the internet he is.

The spiderman quote comes to mind.

Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

I believe he's talking specifically within the confines of a private group.

I'm sure this is just a blanket function though, but it would be nice, for in-group-shenanigan's-sake, to have the option to turn it off and on.

Bye.

What happens if, in the all too often case, you promote someone to admin that you shouldn't have? They're now capable of adding other admins and spamming the group. It's fine the way it is.

Maybe an update could shorten the spam filter length you have to wait in the private forums and keep the public forums spam filter the same?

Exactly what I was thinking. The web team might make it a customizable group setting in the future, like they did with thread creation limits for base security roles. At least that's what I'm hoping for...
