Ok. You can see rings from the space elevator on both sides of that huge canyon. and there's a road on one side, and it basicallly just drops off and dies. Well, I have a theory that the huge activating thing in the trailer is actually under wehre the bridge used to be. BEcause if the blast from the jump could take down all of the city, it could totally move all of that water away, so maybe clearing away all that water revealed that artifact.

Just think about it.. Not saying this is totally true. but just an idea to work off of.

It's possible, but doesn't really look like the bridge went over it, does it?

I'd think it'd be under the giant tower in the center of the city. Makes sense to me. Didn't Regret station his ship right next to it? Wasn't New Mombasa the only city the Covenant attacked? Why do you think the Covenant would come to Earth and go to just ONE city?

Here's a hint, what kind of artifacts do they worship?

Also, if it was the bridge, there wouldn't be ANYTHING left of it. The explosion of Regret's ship entering slipspace was enough to destroy it.

Edit: Don't mean to try and be mean, and I'm not really trying to disprove your theory. Just asking your opinion on how you think this works out in acordance with that bridge being the size it is compared to that hole...

Actually, does anyone remeber the tower in the center of New Mombasa? I think coincidentally, the structure was under that. I think the explosion created by Regret's ship only hit part of the bridge.

And tell me how that could dig a hole like the one in the trailer about 2 miles in diameter and looks to be about 800 ft down. And that's after going through buildings.

We have rose from the ashes of battle and we're goin' back in......................maybe...

Im sorry to be such a downer but i think that if humans by 2552 couldnt find somthing that big under the ground then it had a really good cloakin device or it was the actual planet itself.
I kno that sounds really unlikely which after i think about it it seems almost stupid....
Anyways i just think that if we as human beings are so careless and idiotic to look past somthing that big inside the planet theres seriously something wrong with us.......
Just sayin............

Way too small to be a "sea," or even a lake.
