Wanted to play some halo reach but my character isn't loading and such. Is it me or are they doing some maintenance?

Bungie do not manage Halo anymore, 343 do.

OT on 343's twitter feed it said the servers were under going maintenance and there might be some issues.

hmpff.. I don't get why they don't show a message when you start up halo reach, I mean not everyone has a Twitter account.

Not to be an ass or anything, but how hard do you think it is to setup a twitter account and follow 343? I have a twitter account that only follows 343, Bungie, Marty, Achronos and Adrianne Curry - strictly for the boobies =)

Not to be an ass but I doubt he thinks it is very hard at all. Perhaps it more has to do with how some view it for what it is mostly useless and a waste of time.

To be more on topic anyone know how long this maintenance will be?

We shouldn't HAVE to make a Twitter account just to know what's going on with our games. The game itself should tell us. World of Warcraft tells its users when the servers are down, why shouldn't Halo?

Cause you pay a subscription to play WoW exclusively, you don't do that for Halo.

Seriously guys take this up with 343.

For me not really I figured it was something on their end one way or the other as everything is fine on here. I have other things to do shortly but was just wondering. As stated usually routine maintenance is announced in more ways than just a twitter account so that alone piqued my interest.

what about the people that have payed for the map packs? I think your statement is wrong because people have spend money to buy it and also buyed those map packs so we should have the right to be informed about things as this!

Seriously guys take this up with 343.

I did pay to play Halo exclusively. It's called the MSRP. Just because we don't pay monthly for Reach, it doesn't mean they stop caring. They let us know when there's double xp weekends or when DLC is coming out, so why shouldn't they also let us know when the server is down?

I'm done with this thread, if you have an issue please complain to 343 as this has nothing to do with Bungie anymore.

Looks like the server is back anyway so we can all stop our -blam!-ing.

  • 01.26.2012 11:31 AM PDT

lol when they remove anything to with halo from this site and force users to use 343s web site I'm sure questions like this won't arise. It just seems reasonable to think people playing halo would come to this web site if there is an issue. If the two companies involved are not communicating and minimally putting some notice on both their sites they are both dropping the ball. First place I looked was news and media check that link I have no idea what all that non sense was surely looks nothing like news from anything.

Good to know for later. thx

EXACTLY! Oh and to make thing clear: I do have Twitter but I dont want to run downstairs and check twitter. (lazy I know)

For future reference, you should probably direct Halo complaints/questions/concerns to the official 343 Halo site. Bungie no longer handles Halo issues, 343 Industries does.
