23,000 is impressive in the console world for a 5 year old game, but it should be higher. I wish console players would actually play the game they like over the game that's newest... It seems like most of them feel there's no other choice but the newest one. -_-'

PC gamers have a great mentality with it, in my opinion. If you think 23,000 for a 5 year old game is impressive, you should look at Counter-Strike. That's an 11 year old game (12 if you count the original mod) with 74,255 at peak today. That's beating Modern Warfare 3 easily.

I love Halo 3. After 4 years though I'm done playing it. I'm currently having fun playing TDU2 and Fallout: New Vegas and they arn't new.

Exactly. You're playing games you like instead of a game just because it's brand new. I can respect. Even though neither of them are really "old" and their both the newest in their series.

I play Fallout 3, Halo Wars and Command and Conquer 3 sometimes aswell. Also I have been playing Zombies on Black Ops. Halo 3 used to be the only game I played and after 2 and a half of non stop playing, I slowed down until eventually I just couldn't be bothered.

QFT&R.

I personally don't play much Halo 3 because it feels depressingly dead. I would honestly play the heck out of Halo 2 if it was still online, and I would devote my life to Halo 1 if it ever went on Xbox LIVE (I still play tons of it on Halo PC though), but Halo 3 just isn't as interesting as those two games if I'm being honest.

I also just wish someone would maintain it. I know the new game is out and all of that, but to me, that's no reason to abandon the old ones. I understand stopping DLC support, but the idea of stopping patches, not updating/consolidating playlists, and not just showing support (for example: 343's website does not display Halo 3 stats) for a 5-year-old game just because its predecessor is out now is kind of appalling to me.

That's part of why I don't play Halo 3 much anymore. The Team Mythic playlist still exists, and it still says you can play your new map hotness on this playlist. To me, that's a testament to how neglected the community is, and it just feels kind of oppressive. It's a weird feeling to describe, but it is, nevertheless, the reason that I don't like to play Halo 3. The day they give it some kind of patch or update the playlists, I will be on it again.

Reach is boring, COD is boring, GoW is boring, so Halo 3 is the only game I play anymore.

  • 01.29.2012 9:02 AM PDT

Your done playing with only a 22?

I was never much of a ranked kind of person. Also I was forever switching accounts until I run out of live.

Honestly, I am one of the people who still keep Halo 3 alive and kicking!

  • 01.29.2012 5:02 PM PDT

Lol

I would play halo 3 if casuals were still playing it. Every time I try getting back to halo 3 I'm always playing against people who never quit halo 3 ever.

People don't get it. It doesn't matter if people quit playing halo 3 or not. If your good you will always be good if your bad well your SOL. I haven't played in 4 months because disk broke went to buy new one (actually used) and now I'm owning kids like I was 4 years ago. *I sigh and look up at the stars with a smile on my face remembering the good times*

No, I just really don't give a crap about ranked stuff. I like to play more than one game. I can play and get a good game on a 40 and that's good enough me.

I don't need to justify myself to people who think if you don't have a 50 your terrible at Halo 3. You may be better than me but that doesn't mean I can't hold my own.

Modern Warfare 3 peaks at 10x that number, unless you are referring to a aged tenure simlar to CS, or the PC version of MW3 which you may then be correct.
