"In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move." -Douglas Adams

Why don't you just read them?
Or if you can't see the book oultine in the threads of insterest sticky.

Yes, the Arc does activate all the Halos.

It isn't in the book but rather in the dialogue between 2401 Penitent Tangent, the Arbiter, and Miranda Keyes after the deactivation of Delta Halo.
It goes something like this.

"All of the rings go on standby status for remote activation"
"And where, Oracle, would someone go to remote activate the rings?"
"Why, to the Arc, of course"

---I know its not word for word so don't bother to correct me.

I agree with Paradox. You should just wait until Halo 3 comes out.

yes i agree, but i think it's kind of stupid how the ark activates all the halos. didn't you have to go to the different halos and activate them with the indexes in the first place?

Actually, the "Ark" is really a installation known as installation 01 and from here all of the rings can be activated and kill all sentient life!

Well what I think, this game has been had a lot of refernce toward the bible, mabye the ark not only holds the firing key to all halos, but also is a refuge from their destruction?

ya thats right. I think that when activated the ring on earth or installation "01" creates some kind of time machine so that if somebody were to go activate it then it would seem like hundreds of thousands of years to the activater but mere minutes to someone inside the time machine. EX. you guys are flying a spaceship i go and activate the ring and you are within this slip in time while i am still waiting for hundreds of thousands of years. Get it?

But what would that do to secure the rest of the world from the flood? You mean like, kill, then 1000000 years pass, you come out, looks like nothing happened? But the rings have gone off before, it has to erase the minds or something... How can things be forgotten?
