Screw Foman, he is a terrible moderator.

To all the Bungie community, I have something to say:

This is what I implore you to do. The moderators have been corrupt for a while. They don't even remember the people they have banned in the past.

They also ban people for the most ridiculous reasons, such as "quote shocking". What is that anyway? I have seen many people get banned for such reasons and they have the same opinion as me when they found out.

These so-called "moderators" also expect us to be cool with no rights. We cannot talk about politics because Bungie wants to see biased people. They also won't allow the words Christianity or Islam anywhere on their forums or you'll get banned.

So, I implore you all to FIGHT THE POWER! is what I implore you to do. The moderators have been corrupt for a while. They don't even remember the people they have banned in the past.

In short, YOU are responsible for what YOU post. I was banned a while back in 2008 for the same thing. Accidents happen. If you quote a link to a shock site, you have reposted the link in your post.

Just watch what you post and make sure your links go where you want them to go. There is a preview button for a reason.

How? They are so unreasonable!

They do the best they can on a site with so many people, and when they're obviously not even appreciated by some.

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

*looks at OP's history*

I can see why you don't understand what "quote shocking" is. What you were banned for was "quoting a posted link to a shock site". In other words, someone made a link to a prohobited site, and you replied to them, quoted them, and left their link in YOUR post. In other words, YOU posted a link to a shock site.

If you don't think that is worthy of a ban, then you aren't even as smart as Flavor Flav pretends not to be.

But y'all keep on fightin'!

So, now you remember me. Also, many of friends were banned for the same thing. I know what it is, it's just ridiculous.

Also, This is what I have to say.

The mods are fine, I see no problem with them! Stick to the rules and you'll be ok.

I always questioned this rule. Would an edit of the user's post be more efficient, possibly along with a warning.

All of this is negative if the user intentionally quoted the site and was like "HAHA I LOVE IT" but, say the user quoted it saying "Don't click!" or something like that, wouldn't the edit/warning logic be fairer than a ban? Just a simple thought/inquiry.

They could slimply delete the content of the post and keep the "Quoted by:" portion with the user's name.

Then you need to explain to me why "it's just ridiculous".

If you were to make a post with a link to a shock site, an adult site, or any other prohibited content, would you (or anyone else who did so) be banned?

Is THAT what you think is ridiculous? Because that is one of the specific things that you agreed and promised not to do if you were admitted as a member of this site. Is your word no good? Was your promise untrue? Were you lying?

The entire bolded section is actually you just pasting the first half again. Now i don't want to be mean, but here you are trying to cause an uprising, on the internet, and you make a mistake like this.

I think we can put this in the fail section.

If the user is promoting the shock site I would ban them if it was my decision to make. But, if the user is trying to be helpful, all I would do is honestly edit the link out of the user's post (mods can do that). I would possibly give a warning the first time so the user knew not to do it again.

I think a warning would be more appropriate, but I suppose they're trying to follow the rule that it's still a link to a shock-site.

Please help me OP! What can I do to take the power back from these corrupt and evil fiends? I'm just an ordinary member, I don't have any power or influence, how can I be part of the solution and not part of the problem?

Well, here we are. I guess that it was destined to come to this.

I am sorry OP, but you chose to take this public.

Here's your offending post (NO ONE CLICK on the link in his post PLEASE).

PROtist, you are responsible for everything that appears in your posts, under your name and to the right of your avatar. NO one can "make you" post something rule breaking. YOU choose what goes in that area. IN the case of your ban, you chose to leave in a link to inappropriate content. The poster that you quoted got a permanent ban, you got a 2 week break and a warning to learn from your mistake.

If this is what you've decided is the best reaction, you didn't learn what you should have. I can't explain it again and again, it seems clear to me that you can't comprehend that you did anything wrong, even though you did.

If you want, if you say that you did it on purpose, then I can make it simple and give you the same outcome as the person who you quoted. I don't think that is what you want, what I think that you want is for people to tell you that you are right. That isn't going to happen.

You really need to try to understand how your actions in that post were wrong. If you can't or won't, then it may happen again and you will be right back where you started. Unwilling and unable to see that you are causing your own pain and suffering.

Could and did, both when he was banned and recently. He choose to "take it to the people" as if it could/would get a more favorable (to him) outcome.

Ah, yes -- the "running to mommy when daddy says no" method.

This thread is successfully derailed, yo. However, I'll try to make an on-topic response:
I actually am rather impressed with this site's moderation system. They're able to look professional and serious to newcomers and outsides when in fact they're really pretty laid-back. They're able to moderate seriously and still hang out when they want to; I think that's cool.

How can you be so ignorant? You were proved by a moderator that you were in breach of the rules and you are now trying to waive off the fact you were complaining about being banned.

If you want this place to be more like 4chan, Reddit or wherever else you visit on the internet why not just stay there?

Just because this site exists doesn't mean you get a right to control how it is run. If you don't like it, leave.
