God this forum has been done so many times...
Look, I'll say it again, just like I've said it at every other forum with this topic: People who appreciate the game for its symbolism and storyline and have more creativity enjoy playing as the Arbiter. The Arbiter's character provided another viewpoint in the game, as well as a more strategic way to play the game (stealthy assassin vs frontal assault super soldier). To those of you who can appreciate the Arbiter and what his armor means to the Covenant, my hat's off to you. To the rest of you, who think the Arbiter sucks ass and that Master Chief should just kill him in the next game, grow up and get an imagination. "But BrotherofNOD, Master Chief is the original character and he should be the only character because he kicks Covie butt!" So? Killzone had a main character too, but it also had other characters you could play as too with different fighting styles, and that was a kick-ass game because of it. At least Bungie is only letting us play as ONE other character, you whiny babies. They could have 5 or 6 other characters to play as and then the game wouldn't be a FPS, it would be an RPG.
To sum it up, the Master Chief is great, but so is the Arbiter. If you didn't like his armor, fine, but realize that the armor is more ceremonial and it symbolizes the strength of the Elites. Imagine if he wore that in Halo 3 as he lead the other Elites, grunts, and hunters against the rest of the Covenant. The sight of him in that armor would have the same effect to his allies as Master Chief's armor effects the other marines. It's called boosting the morale of your troops. Wish we had something like that in Iraq...
