I myself liked how H2's MM was setup, but I hope they add a custom game search. I liked the playlist idea, forgiving some of the gametypes. The reason for this thread is because I can't stand any FPS MM or party system on the 360. Some games like COD2 you can't even be in a party in ranked games. Maybe it is because of the TruSkill ranking system? I believe H2 had a great party system for MM.

I will post more later.sry,, gotta go.. post Ideas.

Indeed. I don't mind the current system, but there really should be away to search for "open" custom games.

As far as i'm concerned, Halo 2 still has the best options available for Xbox Live, and they should not remove a single thing for Halo 3, just add in more.

If Hang 'Em High were in H3, I would be happy regardless.

I think the whole Matchmaking system was great, and I still would like to have "Levels". I know some people think levels cause cheaters, but they'd be cheating on Halo 2 regardless, it's not a rank issue. (Counterstrike, anyone?)

I'd like to see a "Custom Match Search", but there should be settings for your party such as:

- Public (anyone can find it and join)
- Open (to friends list or recent players)
- Invite Only (only invites, 360 lets you invite recent players etc.)
- Closed (no one can join, same as Halo 2)

And I agree with Velocity. Adding on to Halo 2 would be better than taking things out. Once you go play other Xbox Live games, Halo 2's interface is amazing. Almost every 360 feature for Live was started by Bungie and their Live interface for Halo 2.

Stats Don't Mean Anything If You Cheat

Halo 2 still has the best rank system and multiplayer options and so these should be carried forward along with new in-game systems such as if someone commits suicide 3 times in a row in a game they get kicked to stop de-levelers
