They will probably make it for Vista, the question is when. They may stick to they're policy of letting the X-box get first crack and putting it on PC 1-2 years after or I'm hoping they try to market "Live Anywhere" by releasing Halo3 on both platforms at the same time.
I'm certain that they won't release H3 for both platforms at the same time.
Here's my thoughts:
Since H3 will come out sometime in 2007 and is expected to have a shelf life of at least 3 years, it may not be until 2010 that we see H3 for PC, at which point, MS may have a new OS out (when considering that it's usually 3-5 years between OS releases). So, maybe H3PC won't be compatible with Vista at all!
With regards to Rize N9ne: Pretty much everyone here is sick of hearing about how angry the "little people" are pretending to be about H2PC is for Vista only.
XP is OLD! No "if's," "ands," or, "buts." It is old. It's high time we had a new OS. Remember (if you're old enough) what it was like going from Win98 to XP? We'll have a similar reaction when moving from XP to Vista.
Regarding your statement that this is a ploy by MS to make more people buy Vista:
Oh yeah, when they started coding Vista six years ago, that's exactly what they were thinking:
Project lead: Hey guys, this new OS we're building? Let's make sure that when we release Halo2 almost a decade from now, that it can only play on Vista.
Everyone else: What is Halo?
Vista was started long before Halo really existed. Trust me, H2PC is not "Vista only" solely so MS can ship a few extra units. XP would not be able to handle H2 in all it's glory. We need this new OS, Halo2PC needs this new OS. I don't really see what the problem is...
