I agree and disagree at the same time. Yeah we all know about the problems Halo 2 had, but seriously 3 years is a little overboard. Their staff has being growing for quite some time now, so it should be much easier for them to get more work done. Bungie is very well known for their slow development times, but also for the best games out there.
Something you have to remember is most of H3's story was already done because of the way H2 ended. Taking away the story development of the game eliminates a large portion of development time.
A March 2007 release has a distinct advantage over a November 2007 release. By having it in March it will cause a fury of 360 purchases in Christmas 2006. If it gets released last quarter of '07, people may wait to pick up a 360 until Christmas 2007. Releasing it in March will cause a TON of people who are waiting on H3 to get their 360 to try and get it earlier. The earlier 360's are in housholds the more Microsoft can make.
