ok, Right before the covenant invasion, Earth probobly had a population of about 10 or 11 billion people. About 7,000,000 Military Personal were also stationed there. All in all the Covenant probobly attacked Earth with about 20-30,000,000 ( Elites grunts hunters all of them) I would say that the Covenant also came with about 50-70 Carriers ( the ships in the trailer) bout 100-150 cruisers and an outrageous ammount of other small ships. The humans with about 20-30 Halcyons & Marathons ( cruisers) 1-5 Super carriers ( like the Trafalger destroyed at reach) about 50-100 frigates and many other fighters giving the humans:
About 100 ships+fighters
The Covenant:
about 180 ships+fighters
The humans also had about 30 MAC cannons
Combined the humans ( by halo 3 ) will have lost about 70 ships, the Covenant 30.
Once the Covenant land on Earth each marine has probobly killed about 1 covenant ( averaged out) giving the marines about 7-10 million kills. The covenant have nearly destroyed the marines, giving them about 6 million kills( remember their strenth is in numbers)
So in the end the humans have about 1-3 MACs bout 1 million marines, about 20-30 ships and one master chief.
What about the 10,000,000,000 Civilians? How could the covenant even wipe out 9,000,000,000 of them? For those of you who think that there are about 5,000,000 humans left on earth, think again.

no because the marathon is a logorithmic function, therefore you ahve to exponentiate 42 so the answer is actually 11.

Well we're on the Bungie forums so the answer is obviously going to be 7,777,777.

well because of the multiplicitive inverse of course. Once you find the derivitave of the banshee, you have to use PI*R squared to find the area of the warthog. Then you have to exponentiate the grunt and cut him in half with an energy sword.

They could have done what they did on Reach and glassed every part of Earth except for Africa. That would have gotten rid of a large number of people.

but that would mean we'd all be dead and there'd be nobody to play Halo...duh...

  • 05.16.2006 1:23 PM PDT

Well imo It didn't seem like Earth was too much better off than Reach and consider that if you approximate the times, I believe Reach was fully conquered in around 2- 2 1/2 hours. We wouldn't be able to go on to much longer than that. A day at the most.

Just so you know there were about 300 Super MAC cannons.

The Covenant fleet that attacked Earth was most likely larger then the one at the unyielding hierophant (Aprox. 500 ships).

Now what you see is more then likely what is left of the covenant fleet.

The covenant could easily kill off billions. It's called glassing the planet from orbit.

Should I call him a fool or just point him in the right direction....Do you have any idea what the 7th Column is? If not, then you ARE a fool.

EDIT: Sorry, wasn't aware of that. Fixed it.

"You must face the truth squarely and without flinching from duty. Our enemies are mortal no longer. Mercy for such as they is a chimera, self-deception is its only ally. Dedicate this weapon, given unto your hand at the behest of the Emperor, to their destruction. Regard its function as your only duty: you live only to bring cleansing fire."

ok first off, who cares how many humans are left cuase they dont stand a chance anyway (this is excluding the chief and any elite forces that may have allied)

and second, you divide 6 by 12 and get 2, then add 5 and get 7 multiply that by 11 and get 77 then add 700 and get 777, then clear all of thet and just write 46 cause that is the damn answer you fools!
