Subject: A concern: Halo 4

So it's been several months since the release of ANY trailer related to Halo 4 or its release. My question is, what the hell is taking 343 so long to put anything out feasible as game info. All we've gotten is a trailer with content that more than likely will change, sounds of possible explosions, weapon effects, etc. from a shooting range, and concept arts for Halo 4 that more than likely will ALSO change.

If I'm not mistaken, didn't Bungie release Halo Reach at 2009's VGA and released an E3 trailer in summer of 09? I've heard rumors of this for Halo 4, nothing happened. I also knew they would release pics of figures who would be Halo 4 characters at the London toy fair...and NOTHING!

Do not take me as being a troll, I'm only addressing my concern that 343 may be trying to BS info. But it's also a possibility that they're releasing falso info to get people all nut itching, then not release anything. Wait till people get really bored and tired of waiting, then release something really big like BING! Right there in your face.

Discuss...

Shouldn't you have posted this on 343's site?

OT I am not getting my hopes up for Halo 4, 343 are a totally untested studio. So I'd rather be pleasantly surprised rather than dissapointed.

I love you

It's called building suspense. It's working for me, I'm itching and dying to hear more info.

"but you already knew that, I mean, how couldn't you?

Only when no Human brick is left atop another, shall we be satisfied with your destruction.

There isn't much to discuss, they'll release more info when they are good and ready.

Well that's one of the issues. Bungie has a large credibility for being successful with their take on Halo, but 343 is a fresh meat studio. Sure, they made Halo CEA...but 90% of that is Bungie's original work. No differences in gameplay mechanics at all, just remastered modern graphics, sounds, and some animations. Halo 4 is a totally new game which means it's a wildcard. 343 has never developed any game fully, and making Halo 4 is an enormous step for them. This can be a good thing, or a bad thing depending on how well they execute and implement it all. I have faith in 343, but like a lot of people I've seen in 343...I'm tired of waiting.

And suspense kills itself off over time. The fanbase is split right down the middle between people with extreme patience and people who are losing interest.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

I'v been reading the latest books to keep me occupied while I wait for info.
I think 343i is holding off on info for when they're good and ready. Probably for the best.

I'm not fussed about halo 4 at the moment, but the inner halo geek still stirs when i see snippets of info, regardless of how i feel about them ruining the chief and extending a story i was happy with at this juncture.

Do not waste your tears, I was not born to watch the world grow dim. Life is not measured in years, but by the deeds of men.

I know which side I'm on. The only things that are keeping me interested in Halo is Bear's trilogy and Traviss's trilogy.

Just gonna assume we will see/hear about it at E3 which is pretty soon.

I am excited to see what is gonna happen with Halo, I'm assuming there's going to lots of new weapons to fit the story yet alot of returning ones for multiplayer.

Essentially what he said, I am pretty sure it is a confirmed 2012 release so E3 is a safe bet.

I am excited for Halo 4 but I think I am looking foward to Bungie's next project more, whatever that may be.
