I'm about to build a semi-competitive game with an Action Sack feel. It's a modified version of Speedflag on a modified version of Spire, where you have to steal flags from the top of the Spire and bring them to the bottom, and everyone has Jetpacks and explosive weapons.
-Meant for teams of 4 to 6.
-Each team has two offense rounds, like in 1-Flag.
-Defenders spawn at the top of the Spire, attackers spawn at the bottom of the Spire and around the man cannons. The rest of the map is killzoned off. No weapons or vehicles on map.
-Four 1-point flags are located on the Spire's upper outer main floor (the big blue energy disk), one 2-point flag is at the very top of the Spire, another 2-point flag is at the center of the Spire (where you pop out when you take the elevators).
-Attackers must drop the flags off in the goal, which is a circle covering the entire second level of the Spire (the level where the territories are in Phase II of Invasion Spire). You can parachute down easily with your Jetpack.
-Weapon pickups disabled. Grenade pickups disabled. Unlimited ammo. AA energy is not unlimited.
-Loadouts are as follows.
--JETPACK, Grenade Launcher, 2x Frag
--JETPACK, Plasma Launcher, no grenades
--JETPACK, Concussion Rifle, 1x Plasma
--JETPACK, Needler, 2x Plasma
--JETPACK, no weapon, 4x Frag, 4x Plasma
--DROP SHIELD, Hammer, no grenades
QUESTIONS
1. The game is called "Flagblaster", what should the map variant be named?
2. Is there an option to force everyone to be an Elite?
3. How do you make a Speedpile gametype with offense/defense rounds?
4. Is there such a thing as TU Speedpile, and if so, where can I download it?
5. Does anyone know where I can download TU Stockpile, for an alternate more "serious" variant with regular weapons?
7. What happened to #6?
8. Does anyone want to playtest this tonight at 10:00 PM Eastern?
