No.

He will probably be in charge of what is left of humanity after the Admiralty of the UNSC is wiped out.

Well, there haven't been a lot of these threads around lately. *rolls eyes*

Edit: P.S. You forgot to add the "I already voted on this issue seven times" choice.

Do you feel what I feel, see what I see, hear what I hear?
There is a line you must draw between your dream world and reality

i could see him dying in the end. Heres why:

Bungie has stated that Halo 3 will end this particular story arc, so we won't see Master Chief again in an official Bungie game. So it does make sense to have him die at the end of H3; clears up all the loose ends and doesn't leave fans saying, "Well now what does the Master Chief do?"

I'm here to kick ass and chew bubble gum...and I'm all out of bubble gum.

They said we'd never see MC again? I missed that one.

"You must face the truth squarely and without flinching from duty. Our enemies are mortal no longer. Mercy for such as they is a chimera, self-deception is its only ally. Dedicate this weapon, given unto your hand at the behest of the Emperor, to their destruction. Regard its function as your only duty: you live only to bring cleansing fire."

either he dies heroicly cause that would be sad and intense or the arbiter dies... heroicly cause that would be sad and intense

The Arbiter or the Chief will die. If it will be the chief he will do it valiently to stop Truth and the flood, the Arbiter will be left to play a large role in the new alliance between the Elites(hunters grunts) and the Humans. If the Arbiter dies(most likely as foreshadowed by Mercy), it will be heroicaly to save the Masterchief(give him time to escape large explosion ala Halo 1 anyone), and to possibly kill Truth in the process. The Masterchief will be praised as a hero and savior of Earth, and will go retire on some nice cottage on Zanzibar"jk"

I have never thought of the implications of MC being left alive and the future of the Halo series. It now would seem fit to die for Earth, as that is his ultimate purpose as a Spartan, and it would bring closure to the Halo series.

Its a fitting death for someone like him. He's a warrior

Live on the battlefield

Die on the battlefield

Yeahh well see the arbiter will die cause he is an arbiter example if you watch the movie scene on the level the arbiter the prophets talk to the arbitor and the aribiter says what about the council then the prophet of mercy says dont wory every aribtor has died before you the council will have your body
and the unsc wont be wiped out there army is still strong and mc wont die

well multiplayer isnt meant to be canonical to the story, its just good times.

Besides you arent necessarily playing as MC, ever notice when you pick your ''skin'' in multiplayer the choices are "Covenant Elite" and "Spartan", not "Master Chief".

I will always place the mission first.
I will never accept defeat.
I will never quit.
I will never leave a fallen comrade.

i hope MC doesn't die but it would most likely be him rather than the Arbiter, in my opinion because like some one said above MC's purpose is to save Earth and it makes sense if he dies. the Arbiter needs to live so that he can bring the humans and the elites together.
