An idea for a Halo fanfic.

Spartan Alex-027. A Spartan filled with anger.

When he was abducted into the program, he made sure to remember who he was for the rest of his life, as well has his parents, in order to find them again.

After Daisy-023 and the other four candidates escaped, Alex-027 was angry about the fact that he was not informed or their plans to run away. When they were re-acquired, he learned that all the children in the Spartan program were replaced with faulty clones.

As he got older, he found out that his parents, who were going to move to another planet, stayed on his home planet to treat the clone they believed to be their true child. That planet was Harvest.

Once Alex-027 caught wind that his family was killed during the glassing of Harvest, he became ever more so furious than before. He had two targets for revenge:

1.) The Covenant. For killing his family.

2.) The Covenant are more of a wall or an obstacle between him and his real target: Dr. Catherine Elizabeth Halsey. For taking him from his family and causing them to stay on a planet that got wiped out.

Alex-027 will kill as many Covenant as it takes. But when it's over, and the war is won, he vows to go after Halsey. So during the war, he feels nothing for anything. Not the Covenant and definitely not his teammates. He completes every mission with 100% success by killing every single Covie within his sight. While he has more success in killing Elites, Brutes and Hunters than any other spartan, he has been known to attack other spartans for getting in his way.

At one point he acquired an energy sword and stabbed it through John-117's back and shoulder, because as he said "I want Halsey to suffer more than ever. You can blame her for your wound. Because she picked you as her favourite!"

The UNSC doesn't want to arrest him or anything, because why get rid of one of the best Spartans they have ever seen in combat? Besides, they need every Spartan they can get.

How's that for a f-ed up story? A super soldier too dangerous to the Covenant, and to Halsey!

If the Covenant knew that all their troops were dying because of him, they would all target him.

Secondly, if a Spartan attacks another it is classed as treason, so you work it out.

  • 01.30.2012 8:05 AM PDT

Then at some point they decide to arrest Alex-027. He resists, escapes, and continues to attack the Covenant in secret, ending the war without the help of the UNSC.

But Chief basically ended the war.

  • 01.30.2012 8:34 AM PDT

Which would mean now that the war is over, he's on the hunt for Halsey.

sorry but this is both ridiculous and a bit idiotic.

They have this basic idea in Serin Osman from Glasslands.

There however is no way that 'Alex' would have made very far in the spartan program with that mentality. They would not have augmented him with that amount of hate for Halsey. And don't try and say he would have hidden it. That type of hate you described is not the kind that you can hide.

EDIT:
and as the guy above said, attacking another spartan would be treason and he would be put to death

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead

i belive shhave funzes suppos

Yes, I'm the guy who had the Flood admit to being furries.

I'm sorry but, gosh, that's not a good fic idea. This Alex is a pure gary stu.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

Awful.

Why is it Halo always has the worst fan fiction writers?

A Spartan turning on another just to spite the program's benefactor is almost offensive.

What are you talking about?
Halo is a pretty cool guy.
/We could have stuff like this, if you would like.

"Halo! Its divine wind will rush through the stars, propelling all who are worthy along the path to salvation."

Terrible.

That's actually useful for comedic purposes.

Let me explain myself:

Years ago I always used to visit HBO on Friday nights to see how they updated their weekly fanfic section and to read some of the entries.

It was mostly shovelware but I'd find a few gems. Sometime after, maybe 2009, all the gems dissapeared and you're left with horrible ridiculous plots (I even found one about a Furry ODST once, nearly provoked projectile vomit from the idiocy) and amateur writing.

That coupled with the crazy theories (LEJINDARY PLANIT R REECH) I've seen in canonical threads over the years, have led me to believe that Halo fan writers are mostly made up of idiots.

Oh I know what you mean.
WE NEED MORE DOOM REPERCUSSIONS OF EVIL NEOW!!!

If he attacked Master Chief, he'd be arrested and locked up so tightly he couldn't escape. As others said, that much utter hatred wouldn't be able to be disguised, and even if he made it past augmentations he would never get MJOLNIR, if he gets deployed at all.

Hell, attacking other Spartans for getting in his way? You are talking about a nutcase character, not a spartan.

Maybe he's a Spartan version of Ripa 'Moramee?

The UNSC doesn't work like that though, and to be honest in any sane world Ripa Moramee would have been killed off by his own side well before becoming Arbiter.

The "Spartan" in this is completely out of character, displaying a level of sociopathy that would get him locked up, and committing acts of treason. A capital crime in the UNSC.

I don't often do heavy criticism of fanfic ideas, but this one is really really not a good story idea... It doesn't fit with the universe at all, or much common sense.

Well, he was indeed locked in a prison after he failed a coup on his clan leader or whatever, that's where Regret found him so I don't know about being killed, what I do know is that he was really....devoted to the Covenant religion, and he liked to grab them people by the neck and to pimpslap Zealots.

He also started a riot in the prison and nearly escaped.

Ripa must've been slapped around and lifted by his neck as a kid :P.

I bet he was really short when he was a kid, so the other Elites picked on him and when he stretched and became bigger than them he decided it was payback time.

Yeah well, it's not actually the revenge what pisses off but the fact that a Spartan would be doing so. This pals were inducted into a world of unwavering loyalty to the UNSC since they were kids and it would be extremely and I mean EXTREMEEEEELY difficult to have a Spartan willing to kill the only motherly figure they have, save for this new Spartan in Glasslands, but it's kay, cause we know Traviss didn't read the books before writing Glasslands,

Moreso the fact he sounds like a raging berserker, smashing friends to get at foes, and that he'd just "ROAR STAB CHIEF" to try to hurt Halsey that way.
