Your presence here is quite unneeded. Begone you!!!

Just going to consider Reach as a "interesting concept on paper"
Now lets see what 343 plans to do with that concept to make it better in Halo 4

Yes. Microsoft rushed Bungie to make Reach, and the game suffered for it. I have heard of at least one full mission that was dropped due to time constraints, and the SMG was supposed to return. Blame Microsoft and their need to fill their wallets fast, don't blame bungie (at least not completely)

That's what's wrong with video games! It's all money, money, money. That's what I miss about Halo. *Wipe eyes*

That was the drivable Scarab after New Alexandria. Also every Halo lost levels.

Halo CE doubles back over the same levels because of time constraints.

Halo 2 lost the Forerunner tank and the cutscene where you give the Covenant their bomb was supposed to be a level where you fought through the ship with ODSTs.

Halo 3 lost the level Guardian where you have used the Hornets to fight a new Forerunner sentinel type enemy. Their laser became the Spartan Laser and the aesthetics for that level became the multiplayer level Guardian.

Hey, uh, if you like vs threads, then check out this little group right here, if you have the time. It's pretty fun, just hop right in.

Every game ever made could have been better.

And the Campaign wasn't THAT bad. At least, not compared to Halo 2's.

I know, I was mostly just staying on topic, discussing Reach. But yes, those did(n't) happen.

I think they should have stopped after Halo 3 and let it die without stretching the series far beyond necessary.

I agree entirely.

I think they should have stopped after ODST and let 343 prove themselves with Halo 4.
I think they shouldn't have hired Sage as the sandbox designer. Would have worked out great.

Halo 2 had some epic high points. As did every previous Halo.

Halo: Reach just drags on without ever feeling epic.

There is still the non epic campaign even if they didn't hire him.

I still can't believe they completely finished the mechanics for the derivable scarab and just decided not to. It would have broken up the mediocrity of the rest of game nicely.

I'm not really an Apple person (Bananas forever) but damn, that's kinda sad.

Could've been made much better obviously; which game couldn't?

It wasn't that bad, but it wasn't good by any means either. The Arbiter's side was the only part that was even remotely enjoyable, and even then I felt like screaming for it go move on already.

Halo 2's campaign was A LOT better. Only the cliffhanger ending made it "bad." Reach had more potential anyway, and it didn't turn out.

Hi.

I didn't even mind the ending of Halo 2.

I must be the only one.

Nope you're not. When H2 ended I just started it back up again and replayed it.

Too much lost potential.

I wouldn't have cared. ODST's campaign was great, and that would be enough for me. If the yhad gotten the Firefight and Matchmaking experiences right, I feel people would be been a lot more satisfied than with a good campaign but a bad multiplayer.

Can't say much about the rest of the campaign, but Lone Wolf was an exceptionally well-made level. Halo 2 had boring, repetitive levels and anticlimactic "boss" battles that make even Guilty Spark's "fight" look like the pinnacle of epicness.
