I don't even understand why they HAD to add it in all of a sudden to their last Halo game. What in the Hell was the point in touching something that wasn't in need of being touched? Why try to fix something that isn't broken? Throughout all of their Halo games up until their very final Halo release, Halo had little to no influence of weapon Bloom. All of a sudden, they HAD to put it into their last game on nearly every weapon. Some times I truly believe they did it just to piss us off. Had half of us not actually gotten caught up in all of the hype during the beta, we could've probably saved this game.
I believe they added it for the same reason they added sprint. They didn't need it, but all the CoD fans demanded that Halo be more like CoD for some reason, and Bungie went along with it. No one ever bothered to mention to anyone that Halo didn't need either.
Edit: Not bashing CoD, or CoD fans, just using CoD as an example. Not even just that, but the previous titles were still quite successful WITHOUT weapon bloom. Whatever made them think it might have made the game more appealing, is beyond my understanding. You're probably correct in what you said above. No matter what point of view I see it from though, adding bloom made no sense whatsoever. Meh. Nothing we can do now except complain and pray that 343i finds a solution come Halo 4. They should have at least allowed us, the community to be able to toggle bloom on/off from the very start.
