(First Post!)

Ok, there's all kinds of rumor, speculation, etc. etc etc. going on here. I figured I'd add my little idea, even though it doesn't have much to do with the actual game, storyline, or anything.

Anyways, I was thinking about the names of the ships that MC is on during the Halo games. Each ship is a unique ship in the UNC fleet (I think) and each is captained by a Keyes. Also, when the names are put together, it starts (to me) to sound like it has meaning, or is possibly a poem. Think about it: "The pillar of autumn, in amber clad...."

That sounds a lot like a poem beginning to me, and I think that the name of the major ship in Halo 3 will finish the poem. An example would be something like having the ship named "walks softly" or something like that. I know that's a lame name and a lame poem, but still.

Anybody agree with me? Has anybody posted this before? I've never seen it, but I'm not on these forums much.

Check out all my theories and creations at HBO!

Or read my fanfic, "Effort Cannot Conquer Faith" -- it won a signed novel from Eric Nylund!

Here are some human ship names:

· Leviathan
· Hannibal
· Iroquois
· Cradle
· Meriwether Lewis
· Midsummer Night
· Trafalgar
· Circumference
· Dawn Under Heaven
· Gettysburg
· Heracles
· Apocalypso

Poetic? Maybe. Coherent? No.
