Subject: Early history of Bungie article... 1998

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I found this really old article that someone linked to me, it is really fascinating.

Chicago times

It is a HUGE article that tells the largest story I have seen of how Bungie was founded, interesting facts, etc.

It is a good read and I recommend reading it.

Holy -blam!-, that is pretty long. I've been reading for half and hour and I'm still not done.

EDIT: Finished it, an hour after starting. Very interesting, and extremely detailed. I didn't know half of this stuff.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

We’re flawed because we want so much more. We’re ruined because we get these things and wish for what we had.

Thanks Ken, and whoever linked that to you, this will be a nice read.

*Just woke up

I thought it mad a lot of stuff in it. It kind of sucks because a few weeks after this Bungie would have to re-ship all the copies of Myth 2 soulblighter.

I thought it was also interesting that before Myth, Pathways into Darkness was their highest selling only sold 20,000 copies and most of those copies were from mail in orders.

LOL Halo has sold what, millions of copies. :p

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

...Yet Marathon was a much faster game than Pathways, and it had higher-resolution graphics and better effects. It even had a story line, involving an interstellar colony ship that had been taken over by aliens...
lol

Yeah... I'm that cool.
Robot Academy. Kinda sorta the best group on here.

Obviously games with a story line were pretty rare back then.
