No one should be allowed to. Just because you have a title doesn't mean you won't post weird things. Like the Mythic groups swimsuit photos.

And lets be honest here, they're only used negatively in the forums anyway. Whenever an employee embeds an image the thread is derailed.
http://forums.destinypedia.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=47

~Website allows pictures to be embedded into posts by anyone.
~Pictures have only been used in a constructive format and have not been abused in anyway since the site's creation.

>Poster clearly doesn't realize that the internet isn't filled exclusively with -blam!-holes.

We're in a gated community here on BNet. I would hazard a guess that the VAST majority of people who visit Bungie.net and go onto and participate in them only go on this forum, or, at the most, go on this forum and Halo Waypoint.

For this reason, most people don't consider the fact that there are hundreds upon thousands of other forums out there that allow embedded images and all these formatting options etc. etc. These things are KNOWN to work. These instances of them working has proven for you all and us all that image embedding can be a thing done with tact and maturity when used constructively and not as a meme drop.

Ignoring the fact that the almost total majority of The Flood is normies who come on here to try and do this new thing they heard of called "trolling", fail at it, get found out, receive a 3-day ban, and leave for a while, I think that the inhabitants of this site could easily handle embedding images. So yes, if my ideals on the subject have to be compromised a little, I'd be okay with Exalted members being allowed to post and embed images.

For Christ's sake, at least let the -blam!-ing Gallery embed images.

"At the end of this day one shall stand, one shall fall"

So, Death or Bungie?

Maybe in the gallery forum, but if we did have the option everyone would post pictures. Which would take your webpage longer to load, it would also inspire new trolling.

Not "Exalted Members" or "Exalted Heroic Members", because I know many people who are now exalted that rarely visit this site, so they would need to show some sort of dedication or meet a certain criteria in all fields (posts, acc age, activity).

So basically: Yes.

Using the exact same argument that you've used, you might as well restrict it to Mythic members only.

Pretty much this. People who are Mythic members obviously no the rules around here and are very unlikly to abuse it(If this happens please don't let me down Mythic members :3).

Robot Academy. Kinda sorta the best group on here.

Nah, only Fabled Legendary Members should have that ability.

Feel free to send me messages, please be willing to wait 6-8 years for a reply.

1-7 hours if you at least tried to make it readable.

Immediately if you are Yax, Telec, or legendary.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

It would be nice if proving yourself to be responsible our a long period of time gave you little privilages rather than a title.

So i would support this, but i do think some other requirements should be in place for something like this, like also being a mythic member, and being active for a certain period of time.

I don't know if posting images would be good or not. Could you imagine a thread with nothing but stuff like this in it?

Tried to find a post by Achronos that said something like no you can't have a pony or something similar but I couldn't.

Things would probably be alright for about the first five minutes or so, then people would be posting stuff for the sake of posting, bans/warnings would soon follow.

Besides, I kinda like how neat and clean the lack of images keeps the site looking.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Better idea, let's make Mythic Members "Assistant Ninjas" that can ban who they want because if you've been here long enough to get Mythic and haven't been banned obviously you can be trusted with moderator powers.

Mythic Members can receive WARNINGS and not lose their title. If an Exalted Member receives a WARNING, they lose their title.

Even we would abuse it.

If you abuse it, you lose it along with your Exalted title. How many times does that have to be made clear?!

I don't think letting a certain user group having privileges over another would be fair, with the obvious exception of the Ninjas.

Pretty much this.

I don't think you can trust anyone just based on what title or prefix they have, so I would say no.

Where in the OP does it ask if everyone should be able to post pics? It's asking about Exalted Members. It would not take your webpage longer to load really. see the lengthy post on page 2 by one of the forum ninjas. he provides links on this. If an Exalted use the power to troll, he the mods take it away.

And an Exalted Member loses his/her exalted title if he/she gets a ban or warning, thus he would also lose pic power. The point is that the Exalted members are the least likely non-ninja/employee members to abuse the ability.

No, only for news posts in private groups.

I like how clean the layout of bungie.net is, it's not a huge eyesoar and I don't have to do a "scrolltacular" to read all the posts on a single page. If anyone else besides the webteam are allowed to embed images in posts, it should be the forum ninjas.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I dislike the idea. It is definitely not a necessity, and I can see it being used for jokes (and inside jokes) mostly.

I agree with this completely.

Yes, there're too many numbers in my name.

Right now at this time, users cannot embed images onto the forum for a very good reason. If say some troll decides to scare or gross someone out, they'd simply put a link to the image or video. And that link is a barrier between the image or video, and the user potentially thinking, "Wait, should I click on that?"

For an Exalted user to embed images onto a forum would be removing that bar, and recking havoc. Sure it's not likely for an Exalted member to commit such an act, however, it's still possibility. And when something's possible on the internet, it's almost always acted upon.

Also, don't you feel it's a little biased to state that only Exalted members such as yourself should be allowed to use this function?

Life?
I have the internet and Doctor Who; i don't need a life.

i have never had the need to embed pictures when linking gets the job done perfectly well, and tbh it isn't that much of an incentive.

Mythic Members can receive WARNINGS and not lose their title. If an Exalted Member receives a WARNING, they lose their title.
Either title is equally resiliant to a warning.

In fact Exalted might be more resiliant.
When I was Honorable it took three warnings and a ban to get rid of the prefix, it took me one warning to go from mythic to legendary and one ban to go from mythic to member.
