Despite of your security role, the answer is still no. Even the moderator can't post picture, and now your asking to allow Exalted member to post picture? How could you hurt these moderator's feeling :(

I say yes. If they post anything that is against the rules they will be banned anyway.

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

Right now at this time, users cannot embed images onto the forum for a very good reason. If say some troll decides to scare or gross someone out, they'd simply put a link to the image or video. And that link is a barrier between the image or video, and the user potentially thinking, "Wait, should I click on that?"

For an Exalted user to embed images onto a forum would be removing that bar, and recking havoc. Sure it's not likely for an Exalted member to commit such an act, however, it's still possibility. And when something's possible on the internet, it's almost always acted upon.

Also, don't you feel it's a little biased to state that only Exalted members such as yourself should be allowed to use this function?

there's isn't any unassailable barrier to becoming an Exalted. You just have to keep it clean for three years. the ability to post pics would be a huge incentive to remain clean. if any of us were to get out of line, we would lose our title, and thus our ability.

Mythic Members can receive WARNINGS and not lose their title. If an Exalted Member receives a WARNING, they lose their title.
Either title is equally resiliant to a warning.

In fact Exalted might be more resiliant.
When I was Honorable it took three warnings and a ban to get rid of the prefix, it took me one warning to go from mythic to legendary and one ban to go from mythic to member.

Using yourself as an example is not nearly enough proof.

Everyone is entitled to their own wrong opinion.

I'm part of the Bungie.net Minecraft group/server called SeptaCrafters
We're a Bungie.net group that goes to our very own Bungie server. Most players are from the Halo community either off Bungie itself or through word to Halo friends.

No, I can maybe see Senior members being able to do that though.

This and the fact that it would be abused.

Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

Absolutely not. My title does not prohibit me from doing stupid stuff... and I really like to do stupid stuff.

The Risk Is Worth The Reward.
Cry Havoc And Let Slip The Dogs Of War.

Yea I'm with you 100% on that. A member title makes you no different from anyone else here on the forums.

I don't think letting a certain user group having privileges over another would be fair, with the obvious exception of the Ninjas.

  • 01.31.2012 7:25 AM PDT

Honestly, this must be a joke. Child, listen, stop trying to defend yourself because clearly you are incapable of it. The only idiot in this thread is yourself, and trust me, it is obvious. So, how about you do as I asked earlier and log off, mommy and daddy wouldn't want you staying up this late.

This is like your other thread, word for word, except you've replaced mythic with exalted.

Your next one should have both, it'll certainly work then.

This too, being stupid is simply who we are.

Why are you reading my signature? Who actually opens these things and reads them!

And as always, SEND ME A PM. Please. Or really bad things will happen to you.

Only Exalted Mythic Members should, we've shown we're ultra mature and stuff.

My claims are still more valid than your own.
How can you be sure about the resiliance of your title if it's never been tested?

Mine have been tested many times, I know how resiliant they are.

Either way I'm a good 90% sure that the Mythic title goes away easier than the Exalted title.

I don't support this idea but saying that 'it can be abused' is such a lame excuse, ANYTHING can be abused, example;

Bungie Admin #1: Lets add user accounts to bungie.net
Bungie Admin #2: No, the site could be abused.

I'm just sayin'.

The only set of users I think that should be able to embed pictures are the Ninjas as they are already trusted by the web team.

common sense is so uncommon its scary...

No, Exalted =/= special privileges.

  • 01.31.2012 8:14 AM PDT

Titles are for fun only, so no. Incredibly simple.

  • 01.31.2012 8:32 AM PDT

"At the end of this day one shall stand, one shall fall"

So, Death or Bungie?

Duardo has also said in the titles thread that "Titles do not make you better"

So this idea wouldn't happen.

Carpe Diem - Carpe Coffee

Astronomy Picture of the Day!

No extra privileges should be tied into the higher titles of the current title system, in my opinion. It's far too variable and unpredictable, plus would be really easy to create an alt alive for 3 years and then just use it to spam naughty pictures once Exalted is obtained.

I hope the title system gets a revamp to where it can properly incentivize certain behaviors in the future, but right now I don't think it can handle it through extra forum privileges.

I don't think your time on the site should dictate any of the functionality you're allowed to use.

  • 01.31.2012 9:16 AM PDT

Ninjas should be allowed to before Exalted members. if that happens, then maybe, due to there proven trust.

  • 01.31.2012 9:28 AM PDT

I can imagine it would start with Exalted, then everyone else would be like "make it for Fabled" and then "make it for Noble" and then finally "make it for everyone!". Even if the privilege wasn't going to be abused, jealousy would be rife after the first five minutes. That's my opinion anyway.

I didn't say 'it can be', I said 'it WOULD be'.
Nothing lame of fictitious about that, it's blatant fact.
People would be popping inappropriate pics on here as fast as they could, wait for it to get collapsed by reports or for a ninja, who by now would be over worked from locking banning a multitude of other inappropriate posts, all to be banned, do their little reset thing, and pop up on another alt.

What's lame is that we all know this would happen, only because certain individuals can't behave themselves and ruin the rest of 'what could have been' for everyone else.

That and I don't want to see MLP pics on every other post.
