I agree entirely. Not to be rude, but H2's ending was kind of a sucky let down. It was like a platformer boss, "wait for the three shots to drop his shield, then STRIKE!" The Maw brought an epic conclusion to H1, and brought the game full circle back to the POA. It was emotionally charged and nerve racking, and no one, their first time through thought they were gonna make it. That is what made Halo stick in the mind. That's what fueled people to go back and beat it on heroic, then legendary. Its the emotional sense of an epic, not "Hey, chief's on a ship! cliffhanger WOO!"
