After 10 years. Sad, but we must look towards the future.

"Dear Bungie.net, we regret being stubborn bastards, we regret coming to this forum, and we most definitely regret that Darth Kooky blew up our raggedy-ass opinion!"

So it would be that an end of an era had come to pass. The statistics had been up and running since the days of Halo 2 and were updated on a continual basis for 7 years. The day of reckoning was upon us. March 31, 2012.

The Mayans were right. 2012 would indeed mark the end of the world; Bungie's Halo world. No more could we, the fans, track our Halo Statistics, render our videos, or upload screenshots. Without the BNet's tremendous storage capacities and user-friendly interfaces, there could no longer be a progressive user-content community.

It was with the statement made on the thirty-first day of January that we learned that a great migration must commence. Our only hope was that the Waypoint crew could create a new way to track our content. It was with baited breath that we waited for any news on the matter.

We would always miss the BNet's superiority, lovingly crafted by some of the best people in the industry who had continued to support all tracking of our shenanigans and endless fun over the years. We tipped our hats to those individuals thought they deserved so much more than that.

It would be some time before we returned. Sure we hung around in the forums as it had been our home for so long, but we would really and truly return on the day of the IP's launch. Ready to continue our journey with Bungie, we had made it to the stars. They had always said that they would "See us starside." On that glorious day, we finally did.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Why is this not posted in the news forum........?

The Mayan calender didn't predict the end of the world. It predicted when the world would be re-born. Bungie.net will be re-born into Destiny.

As far as I know, the forums are staying and the nameplates will be transferred over. I could be wrong though.

This question has come up several times. As of the final crossover, you will no longer be able to manage that here. We are unable to comment on what functionality 343 will provide on that front.

So you're saying now we won't have the Halo forums here at all as of March 31st?

What about le forums?
They will most likely stay the same, a Destiny forum might replace the universe forum.

Uhm... Why would a game forum replace a Bungie Community forum? The Universe is for all of Bungie's games, not a specific one. Destiny will just have its own forum in the game section like every game has in the past. Maybe even multiple.

Does this mean something is coming soon, or maybe you are testing certain update systems, for any new project.

Plus when will halo canon based discussion be moved away from Bungie universe, or will it stay.

True, maybe a Destiny forum will be made and will be put above the Universe forum for better accessibility.

I can see bungie wiping the halo forums sometime. I mean, 343 is the place for halo now. Just make it all Destiny.

Not really i think the universe forum shall remain top as it pertains to all Bungie universe.

Destiny shall have their own game forum for any issues in the game or question on it. It shall be above the Crimson Forum, by the time or near when Destiny is released.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

It should, that is not fair to the universe forum and it's users. The universe forum is a comprehensive place for all Bungie games story and discussion.
