Subject: What happened to the UNSC?

Helljumpers kick ---!
"Feet first into hell!"
105th Drop Jet Division NavSpecWar Command

These are some questions that have been bugging me:

-I've been wondering what happened to the UNSC units around Earth and what of the units still on Delta Halo? (are any Marines still alive)

-What is the structure that MC walks through on the trailer is it debris from a UNSC starship or is it from a MAC defence platform or something totaly different?

I would appreciate it if anyone would tell me any ideas to answer these questions.

No one knows what happened on Earth since the time you left chasing Regret. All we know is that the Earth has been conquered by the Covenant.

The marines on Delta Halo are most likely wherever Miranda Keyes happens to be at.

Most of the UNSC fleet in orbit around earth was destroyed by the covenant while MC was off on Delta Halo fighting the other part of the covenant fleet...
as for the marines, i beleive most, if not all, were killed or posessed by the flood...

I was speaking purely of living marines. Once they are turned into Flood, they are part of the Flood, no logner are they marines.

The UNSC was most likely overwhelmed by Truth's Fleet (which is most likely the entire covenant fleets). The Marines on Delta Halo are flood any alive are with the Arbiter which are the Marines helping Sgt. Johnson pilot the Scarab and Miranda.

Surviving UNSC units, I'm pretty sure, are very few and far between on Earth, with most of them being elsewhere, like on Delta Halo or the remaining MAC stations.

I put on pants for this?

as to the question of the wreckage, i think Frankie said in a questionaire that it was the remains of New Mombasa after the covenant ship went into slipspace during halo 2.

They basically got rid of the Air Force, and changed the Navy into a "Space Navy". Marines is often a general term supplied to anyone in the army by people who do not know much about the different parts of the military... which is a lot of people.

Formula one racing kicks ass.

Teh mac defence platforms are not on earth but actually orbit around it. In halo 2 you are on one of the defence platforms at the start of the game.

Now I want to know is how Regret's crusier just happened to blow by all the 'Super Mac Stations'. Since, when Reach fell, there were over twenty Super Mac Stations and those stations just happened to slaughter most of the Covenant fleet.

But in the opening scene of Cairo Station, where the first covenant ships are spotted. Cortana counted a whole fifteen ships. Just fifteen, how in Lord's name did the mac stations not ripped these only ships into a bunch of little pieces.

We made a blind jump from reach to find the coveant homeworld (Halo) then headed back to earth to help defend it, then followed a coveant ship, and found another Halo and were led to the arc (Halo 2) Now we are back at earth (Halo 3)

I think that about sums it up.

Im guessing since the Athens and the Malta blew up, it created a hole in the defensive network which allowed Regret to get by.

since the Marines are a sub branch of the Navy, ill say this. Nothing has changed, but now there is only one branch, the Navy (the navys goal with the marines is have a unified assulut force on land air and sea, within their branch). so basically, the navy still controls the sea and air, or atomosphere w/e, part of it and the marines hold the land part of it. all other branches look like theyve never existed. The wreakage is the space elevator i remmeber reading, but how anybody knew it was an elevator idk. in halo 2 its that huge tower that rises above the screen in the middle of the city.

The ship flew right behing the Cairo Station, barely missing the it. How come the Cairo Station couldn't hit it if the Mac Stations are so accurate?

Halo is not the Covenant homeworld. If anything could be their "homeworld", it would be High Charity, or (depending on your point of view) the homeworlds of each individual species that make up the Covenant.

We also don't know what events transpired between the end of First Strike and the beginning of Halo 2, nor what happens after Halo 2 ends - meaning we don't know if we've even seen the Ark yet - except that at least part of Halo 3 takes place on Earth.
