I know that in making Halo 3 Bungie is gonna try to get rid of glitches present in Halo 2. I'm fine with this for the most part, take super jumping, double shotting, double nading, dummying, tantrumming etc. I won't miss them (well not too much). But I have become quite fond of BXR and BXB and frankly can't imagine playing Halo without them. So if one of you coders could "accidently" leave it in I'd be most appreciative.

Superjumping is a glitch in the physics engine not the game. Unless they change physics engines then there will be superjumping.

Could you learn to play without using them?

  • 05.16.2006 8:35 PM PDT

I could care less if they take it out. I guess you "skilled" players need to fight CQC with button combos.

... that is not a glitch.. it is an exploit... something used that is faulty coding used to enhance ones playing..... it will probably be removed

BXR is about as skillful as trying to be Jack Black in King Kong.

Screw that! Why would they leave in a glitch!?

BXR are for unskilled close range players. They improvise wit glitches cause they suck!

something used that is faulty coding used to enhance ones playing.

yes, it does "enhance" BR'ing abilities....but it is the same for every1....every1 has the capability to do it...I like it b/c it's for the fans who read into secrets of the game...it's about our fanbase telling the true fans little fun secrets that we all can partake in...if we were to start deleting button combos it would kinda deficate on our little fun that barely have with the game anymore....by now, most of the halo world know about the button combos...but is it a glitche? they did assign "X" button as "cancel." maybe bungie did that as a little mystery...maybe it WAS meant to be there...they specifically said,"it isn't in their nature to tell everything about the game." hell, if i were a game maker, i would put fun little mysteries in the game as well, specifically for the fans to figure out and discuss...personally, i would be disappointed if button combos were abolished.

4. Watch out for low-flying defense drones.
5. Seven is not optional, but rather, an inevitability.

As it should be. I'm sick off all these insane button combinations to get a quick and easy kill.

hey1 he was good in that movie!

but the bxr stuff will be gone, along with the other current glitches, because the game has a new engine, didn't bungie say that in the announcement?

the definition of BXR:

must have a BR with full clip
go up to your target, press B (melee), then press X quickly to cancel melee (still does damage), then press Right trigger immediately after while aiming at head to get the kill.

it has to be done right, or it wont work. while it is cheap in the right situation, it really isn't an economical method of getting more kills. i dont really care whether they leave it in or not, ive never had it done to me in matchmaking, only by (dumb) friends.

firstly, it's not cheap, it's like sticking someone, everyone can do it, it just takes skill. and secondly, ask anyone i play with on a regular basis if I get kills with it, after playing with someone for a couple of games they usually say something along the lines of "alright I'm gonna stay away from Arizona Black." If you dont believe me send me a FR and I'll show how usefull it is.

true, and besides, even without BXR you could effectively melee and headshoot someone

How about we just wait for Halo 3 when it's removed, then we'll play you, watch you flounder around trying to do some glitch combo, then teabag your twitching corpse as you realize your skills are nothing without the BxR exploit.

That sounds more entertaining to me.

that takes too long, and A2 Alpha what's the matter? Why not try that now? I have some slots open on my FL.
